Chelsea FC £700m in debt, yes or no?

Chelsea Ltd £700m in debt, yes or no?

The football club has no debts

The Chelsky corporate web has LIABILITIES of 133m.
Companies House FACT.

No debt.

300 odd comments to explain to Fat Ron the relationship between "liabilities" and "debt" .

"£71m of that is Torres and Luiz"

Companies House basic data won't tell us whether Chelsky have recorded that as "current" or "long-term" liabilities.

I meant liabilities on the pitch.

Right so I must be dreaming that Roman invested money into the club then

Methinks their accountants have hedged their bets on the balance sheets.

£130m debts when your owner funds transfers and wages

Okay!

"so I must be dreaming that Roman invested money into the club then"

Nope.

But obviously the club has been operating so poorly financially that even with Romans chequebook, the club still has liabilities of 130 odd million.

Neither are as bad as Luiz.

And all of our strikers are better than Torres.

posted on 18/12/12

Luiz is so bad he's kept more clean sheets this season than the united defence combined

posted on 18/12/12

Single handedly? Luiz is a liability, hence the joke. Our defence hasn't been great but there are number of reasons for that which aren't really relevant to this article.

posted on 18/12/12

Yeah Luiz has conceded 1/4 of the amount of goals you have this season and kept more clean sheets than it

Yet Evans your "best defender" has been the heart of that

posted on 18/12/12

7 more goals. Not that bad given Michael Carrick has had to play at cb this season.

posted on 18/12/12

Chelsea concede less when Luiz plays then when he doesn't

but he's a liability for us apparently

posted on 18/12/12

You probably score more with Torres in the team, he's still a liability of a footballer.

Luiz is a liability. Got some good strengths but consistent defending isn't one of them. No wonder Rafa played him in midfield the other day. Actually think he'd make a better midfielder than cb as he's better with the ball than he is defending.

That's impossible to judge considering he's only not played 1 hour of football in the premier league so far

"Luiz is a liability."

explains why we concede less and keep more clean sheets when he plays.

"No wonder Rafa played him in midfield the other day."

One time against a Mexican team in knowledge that we're playing a game tomorrow with 1 midfielder. But then again the "better than him" Jones knows all about being played in midfield doesn't he

posted on 18/12/12

If he's a consistent in the defence then it doesn't suprise me because any other partnership hasn't had the opportunity to form a sustained partnership.

I think Jones is a liability at the back as well, but he's still better than Luiz. The guy makes silly mistakes all the time and just isn't a great defender. Fair enough you will defend him but most people think he's a good footballer but not a great defender and extremely error prone.

Could be a great midfielder, doubt he'll be a great defender.

Plus Jones is our 5th choice cb so it's not so much a problem at the moment. Luiz is your first choice.

Well I find it hard to cope with the defender that's played in 6 out of the 7 games we've kept a clean sheet but obviously because Alan Hansen and Gary Neville says he can't defend everyone follows that like its gospel

posted on 18/12/12

Not really, I've seen him play many times and come to that conclusion.

We've played cm's in defence on occasion and kept clean sheets, doesn't mean they're good defenders. We've also played defenders in midfield on occasion and won matches, doesn't make them goo midfielders either.

So you saying that doesn't support the idea he'a a good defender.
