Tbh I'm glad City and Chelsea both got their moment in the sun.

"Would you by any chance be trying to state he has paid the debt by allocating share equity that he has then purchased ... ??"
Yes hence the debt has been written off and no longer exists nor concerns the club. (do I really have to keep explaining this to you?)

You can't have a go at City fans for loyalty. They've always been good at Maine Road and Etihad
I get why The status quo feel miffed at City/Chelsea's rise to prominence but there are things conveniently forgotten here
1) Chelsea were a top 4 club before the takeover. We regularly reached finals/semi finals/quarter finals in all competitions from 94 onwards
2) Spurs never were amongst the status quo. They were midtable/relegation stragglers, why the chip on their shoulder?
3) The aim of Abramovich from day one has always been to make Chelsea self sustainable. He backed FFP and backed the PL cost control.
if City are paying top wages your have to match them or fall behind .. simples
Your club is on the brink and how can you say your 100% certain to stay in the top 4 ..
Cocky as usual
"Yes hence the debt has been written off and no longer exists nor concerns the club"
Ah, now we get to it.
He DEVALUED the club as a going concern, in order to write off the debt.
We got there in the end.
How can you devalue a club that sold for a QUID
1) You were about to crash before Roman took over
2) We would of been a top 4 club sooner and more consistent if it wasn't for Chelsea/City take over.
3) Self sustainable? By spending millions on sacking managers and paying 50 million for a dud striker?
"You can't have a go at City fans for loyalty."

I'm only kidding. having said that, the oil money seems to have bumped their average attendances by 14%...
Wonder whether the club being put in a more realist position with it's transfer funds might impact on the more... shall we say 'fair-weather" City supporters..?

Their attendances are up because they offer seats for a fiver just to sell the seats.
City played a pre season friendly over seas recently in front of just 9,000 fans.
In a stadium that probably holds 8,000.
"How is this relevant to the club being self sufficient?"
IS the club self-sufficient ??
What is your definition, for a start ??
"The new complex is supposedly going to create 80 new jobs.....most of which will be menial pay."
Where have you got that from, because that is simply not true? Are you sure you don't just mean the £3m leisure centre they are donating at the same time?
It's hard to debate with you Stretford, as you only seem to see things from one way.

Making positive profit. Last years figures said we did this and we are projected to make profits in the future hence I consider us more or less self sufficient

megastore
Can't you spell?
City offered RVP 300k a week, didn't want that
And I can assure you Utd do not pay ANYONE anywhere near 200k per week
He may get that with commercial deals Etc etc but the club wouldn't pay that and Rooney doesn't get 250k he got the original 160k deal he was offered and the club confirmed this.
One (probably won't be my) final comment on this:
Arsenal win.
"Making positive profit. Last years figures said we did this and we are projected to make profits in the future hence I consider us more or less self sufficient"
So if my company operates for 9 yrs at a loss of 1 million a year, and then in the 10th yr it makes a profit of 500,000, it is "more or less self-sufficient" ??
All I see is a company that is 9.5 million in debt.
rooney and rvp are on 160k a week

if the debt for the other 9 years is written off it is irrelevant and does not concern the club hence the club has made a profit (get it yet?)
