some would say that Evertons first XI would eclipse that of Liverpool due to their experience of playing together and holistic experience throughout the squad

I hate Liverpool, and I'm no fan of Everton, but your the better of two evils, but I don't agree with you. Liverpool will always finish above Everton,as they've got superior strikers. If I was to pick the best players from each team, I reckon Everton would have more players in it, but there's no point having a solid defence and tasty midfield when you forwards are cack. Everton will never push on until they sign a player like Suarez. I'm sorry but it's true.

PAblo.

Aside from Suarez, is Liverpool's strikeforce better than Evertons?

Saha > Carrol, N'gog.

Seems strange that Jordan Henderson is not worth 20 million, even though he his an established premiership player, a consistant performer, and a full England international.
Yet it would seem that Jack Rodwell, who is not any of the above, and does not play regularly for everton, as far as everton fans are concerned, is worth all of 25 million.

Jordo Hendo is awful.... No talent AT ALL,

Excellent point jloo78. Well done sir.

Jack Rodwell is well worth the money... Jordo is just plain poor.

Jloo.

Who said jack was worth 25m, that's what we want for him, two different things.

After his poor show at the Euro U21's do you think Henderson will get a chance again for another full cap? I will wager a WUM free week Rodwell gets an England call up before Jordan Henderson

Moi. personal problems?

Ok I admit. I'm outed/ Please help me.

Where shall I start?

Sweatband - £16 million is what Sunderland wanted for Henderson.

I think I might need to explain how transfers work. One team asks anothe team about another player. They give that team a price, they negotiate and then they agree a price. If £25m is want you want then I can't imagine it would be that much less.

Rodwell - £20m Henderson > Rodwell

posted on 26/7/11

pjs - a wind up is more effective when you inject a grain of truth to give it credence.

Rodwell has been just like e erton for the last few years, nearly.

posted on 26/7/11

Do you still think Henderson was worth 16M? And again I never said Rodwell was worth 25m, this is a figure the club would want. DOESNT mean he is worth that figure. More like the over the odds money paid for Henderson

Curly
Rodwell like Everton, you may just be right.

Silky smooth, easy on the eye, plenty of potential, breaks down a key moments.......yeah you had it right.

You make a lot of valid point in your OP Evertorial.

One fantastic point is the actual prices for the players bought. In the past Liverpool fans would make excuses about having to buy mediocre players for £10 to £12m. They have now shown that the crap players they bought in the past was out of choice NOT necessity. The only difference is they're now paying £20-35m for them

Brilliant post Evertorial

' I will wager a WUM free week Rodwell gets an England call up before Jordan Henderson'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You would lose that wager then.
Henderson starts off hes premiership career in an impressive way, scoring goals, and providing assists.
He then makes a big money move to Liverpool, which will see him play alongside Steven Gerrard, and his game will improve further.
But obviously, when Cappello is looking at his next england squad, hes sure to put an out of sorts in and out midfielder, who yet to prove himself at all, in to that squad, before looking at Henderson again.
That sweatbands to tight around your head sunshine.

So your valuation is £25m for a player who is a bit injury prone, isn't a regular starter and yet you call us delusional for paying £16m for Hendo..
