Which ever idiot coach coaches the team to back off at the end of a match needs sacking and if that's Grayson, so be it
I could've told you that after the play offs
No!
Mirf, you conveniently forget that Town have not had Grayson's preferred eleven fo most of those sixteen games! Would you have been calling for Mr Grayson's head if Blackpool had not got the equaliser?
Yes, it's disappointing to have to settle for a draw when a win was so close. Town's ambition is to stay in the Championship. Mr Hoyle is not going to disrupt things now. Town are on track to achieve the objective, regardless of the run of poor form or your stats.
Mirf, Mr Clark had three years to fulfil his target and failed. Mr Grayson is on track to achieve his!
You still can't get 'Wor Lee' out of your system. Let him go...breathe in slowly and let him go.

LV69,
I went to today's game and believe me it would have been a travesty if Blackpool hadn't picked a point at the very least, because overall they were much the better side, particularly in the first half when any other side would have been out of sight.
As for Town being on track to stay in the Championship, don't kid yourself because other teams below Town, who earlier couldn't get a result for love nor money, are now starting to pick up points. Only Barnsley and Bristol City have to see their current form improve and Town will have a real battle on their hands to survive.
As for Clark, it's you who appears to have some fixation with him because I've said on many occasions that as far as I'm concerned, he's now history, although that does and should not prevent me from occasionally mentioning his name.
You also need to digest what a lot of Leeds fans have to say about Grayson's managerial capabilities, plus Half my own family are Leeds fans and they had similar reservations about him and told me that Town were making a big mistake when they appointed him.
So, if you want to see Town continue on the current downward trend, then keep backing Grayson and the part time players he brought in such as Vaughan & Beckford, plus the "six game only" wonder kid Norwood and the League One standard Gerrard etc. and see where that takes us.
So, I reiterate my stance and say give Grayson one more game to turn it around and if he fails then get rid ASAP.
Btw. No way would I advocate bringing Wor Lee back as manager.
A lot will depend on our January dealings, 3 points is a must against any team, cos we are nearer the play offs than the relegation zone. Could wor Lee be the man to get Grayson the sack come 12th Jan.?
turn what round??
a decent start to the season??
this league is so up and down for most teams..
forest started ok, then went right off and are now doing ok again..
wednesday could get a point to save themselves and have recently got going again..
barnsley beat millwall(the form team) at their place on saturday and today we almost got 3 points in a game we were never actually in..
fortune favours the brave, well it does in this league anyway..
we need to be a bit braver..
like i said in the last 15 -20 minutes today it got more open and we held our own and a bit more..
grayson needs to get a "pair" and be more positive from the start..
to all those that really "believe" that dean wants to be 4th from bottom, his "performance" today says otherwise..
same for grayson as for lee clark, if you cant influence the players before and during the game you have to "walk"... Its your job and you aint doing it...
Wor lee as enough on his plate wethers
watched forest today..they started poorly..went a goal down and then hammered le-ds whilst playing bright quick attacking football..
1 point off the play offs and the jonny foreigners who now own the club think this is the time to sack the manager..
football being sold to foreign idiots is going to "kill itself"..
I gave lee clark a season and a half at least before seriously asking about his position..
forest are doing ok and these berks with little or no understanding of british football sack the management staff, its f-cking stupid..
Sorry Mirf, i don't go with anything you are saying.
first of all it smacks to me of getting your own back for Wor Lee, who you clearly had a love in with and are still to get over....
Second, with the numerous injuries we've had this season, Larry has hardly had a chance to play his strongest team.
Third..|It will take more than 12 months (or one closed season) to unravell the mayhem Elsie left here, with 945 professionals on the books all on 50 year contracts..
..and finally, the day I listen to advice on football managers from a Leeds fan, is the day i give up...
So, play another record Mirf, and ffs get Elsie out of your head mate
Jacko! will sort the Wednesday thread tomorro .

Jacko,
You also continue your love in with Larry and see where that takes us,and haven't you even considered that most other teams have suffered ongoing injury problems, or is it just Town in you mind?
As for your comments about Wor Lee, I can only conclude that it's you who has some sort of fixation about him and I suggest you forget him, because he aint coming back to take us on any more record breaking 43 match unbeaten runs.
Anyhow you keep your faith in Larry now that he's got some nice easy away games coming up to show his managerial skills, against such as Leicester, Charlton, Watford, Derby, Burnley, Forest, Brighton, Leeds, Wolves & Blackburn etc, and it doesn't get any easier at home with the likes of Brum (I 'm almost having an organism waiting for this one ), Palace, Cardiff, Boro, Charlton, Hull, & Millwall etc.
So Jacko, you keep on believing everything is still "rosy in the garden" and that Grayson will be our saviour now that he's getting his full squad back to fitness - as for me, if he fails on Saturday get him out and give someone else a chance, because there's plenty to choose from, such as Boothroyd, Phil Brown, Coppell, Billy Davies, Dowie, Ince, Jewell, Megson & Souness etc. etc. and who knows, I might even be able to add Wor Lee to the list following his visit to the John Smith Stadium later this season.
Wouldn't mind O'driscoll.
Being a football manager is like being a member of a "closed shop" in which all outsiders (including 38) are banned. So, in my mind it doesn't matter all that much who gets appointed since they all rely on a bucket full (75%) of luck to be successful or otherwise, hence reason they can be a success at one club and an abject failure at the next. As for selecting which players to buy, I reckon most fans would do just as well.
Lets face it, we've seen some real sh-te bought by Town managers over the recent years and beyond, which even our lass (and she knows nowt about footy) would not have entertained.
Morning chaps...
Mirf...I don't think anyone could say I had a 'love in' with Elsie ..if you had read any of my posts you will have seen that I was one of the many you were arguing against, with your stats about 40 games unbeaten etc etc
We are still suffering from his ineptitude with the crop of poor quality players we still have here..hence the reason Grayson is having to play most of the lads week in week out...(look at the appearance list).
Ward got injured in the warm up yesterday , Scannell , Beckford and Vaughan have all been out for weeks...Southern and Hunt suspended..players off form..(Norwood)...
There is NO WAY Deano will sack Grayson....we are mid table, six points off the play offs !!
We've just had a great result at Palace, and gained a point with ten men at Charlton...
Of course we could be like Blackburn, who have sacked their manager this morning...or Forest who sacked their manager after beating Leeds 4-2, is that who we are ?
Sacking the manager isn't a magic cure all...
of course we've had a poor run, after being 3rd after 11 games and we were all getting over excited about things...reality has now stepped in...we are a Division One club, who scraped through in a penalty shoot out to get here..the addition of a few loanees doesn't make us Championship quality.
Grayson has given all the fringe players a chance to prove themselves at this level..which to me was fair enough...but not many have proved themselves capable.
I'm sure SG wanted to bring in more players, but with the Rhodes transfer happening so late in the window he's been restricted to loanees...the upcoming transfer window will see players in and out as he strengthens the squad...subject to Deano splashing the cash a bit.
If I was picking the team from the squad he has, I'd probably be picking the same eleven ..they have shown themselves to be good enough earlier in the season..but they can not play all 46 games.
A bit of tweaking is all that's needed, then we aren't relying on Arfield, Atkinson, Novak, Robinson and Ward to make up the numbers...
Norwood will be a great player, but he is young and finding his feet at this level..so we need someone to take the weight off him in that key midfield role..
In fact we also need someone to take the pressure off Southern and Clayton...so two midfielders to strengthen the squad..
We probably need a striker too, a hold up player experienced at this level...Novak has done really well considering where he started out...but he isn't a target man.
There's not that much wrong with the team, it's just we need to strengthen in some key areas so that we get back to our early season fluency...
Now is not the time to panic...fans need to take a reality check here...stay calm...trust in Deano's plans...
Oh dear,,,, Calling for Larrys head ! Saying a noisy raucous home crowd does not make any difference ! No such thing as the 12th man ! ,,,,,,,, We struggled to get up after massive investment compared to our rivals in a lower league for a good few years,,, Now we are the little fish in a big pond,,, Did folk really think we were going to emulate Saints and Norwich ?????

ha ha. ..Mind you, 500 noisy supporting fans all in one place has to be an improvement over what we have now...
Morning fellow Town fans.
All Town need to do is go back to basics, stick 5in the middle of the park and 1 up top, pass and move, pass and move and we'll be alright.
I'm no fan of Grayson but to sack him now would be incredibly harsh on him
