Sounds like theyre getting ready to sell him

Bale is worth whatever Spurs are willing to sell him for, as long as he is in contract. And I would expect more than £60 million, tbh, as long as Bale isn't pushing for a move.

On what basis he is worth 60 mil?

Can he sell the merchandise like Ronaldo?

On the basis that if a team offered £59m Spurs would turn it down.

Yeah, DJ is Levy.

If Bale is really worth £60 million what price would Eden Hazard be worth now, i would say that Hazard would be worth about £90 million then as he is a much better all round player.

Gareth Bale has already surpassed Ronaldo, he has Lionel Messi in his sights. He will be the best player in the world by the end of 2013.

Again, it depends on what Chelsea would be willing to sell him for.

Saying such and such is worth so much is a pointless exercise. Many players have been sold for far less than players they are far better than.

Was Andy Carroll a £35million player? Well yes he was, because that is what a team was willing to pay for him. Is he a better player than RvP or Cesc? No.

There are many more factors behind a players worth than that players quality. Don't be ignorant to that.

Based on what exactly? Bale already has twice as many goals as Hazard. And do you really think Hazard is worth 10 million more than Ronaldo was when he left United?

There weren't any good English players available at that time. And Liverpool didn't pay that money either. Do Real have that option?

Levy always sets the bar high. We will probably take £50m, which would be a good deal on both sides.

Bale has a big reputation on the continent, and Madrid are not shy of spending big, so don't see what's surprising about the story.

So if a team bid £20m for Bale you think Spurs would sell?

Exactly, one of many factors that go into a players price other than ability.
Do Real have the option? Does not matter, unless Bale gets stroppy and demands a transfer then it is very much in Spurs hands what they ask for him.

It's not just about goals. Cause if it is Walcott is better than both of them.

Hazard is comfortably the better player than Bale. It's not even close.

Yes we forgot, Chelsea bought Carrol and gift wrapped him and sent him to Anfield, Didnt you guys see the 35m in our financials, Mike Ashley ripped us off

Spurs overrate Bale so No they wouldn't. Doesn't mean he's worth more though does it?

Yes, of course it does. Worth only applies to a team that owns the player and a team who wants to buy a player. Spurs set his worth at £60million according to the article, if no teams see him at the same worth then they won't buy him unless Spurs review his worth.

You and I may think he is worth a lot less, but me and you do not have enough money to make our opinion worthwhile.

I know it's not all about goals but Hazard hasn't looked worth what Chelsea paid so far let alone more than Real paid for Ronaldo, Bale for all his theatrics is having a great season.

Levy will do what he did with modric, over price the player one year knocking back massive transfer bids then let him go a year later for half the price.

posted on 30/12/12

As much as I hate to say it, Spurs know how to get the best deal for themselves. Look what they got for Modric, absolute joke, he is not worth anywhere near £30M and even though Bale is not worth £60M either, I won't be surprised to see him go for close to that.

A player is worth what the selling team values that player in reguards to what value he brings to the team, it's simple, Carrol was Newcastles top scorer, English and young so they valued him at 35m, you want him, you pay that fee.
