Plus you don't put a figure on a player that would attract bids. Of course Spurs would probably go down on that price if a team showed genuine interest and got into negotiations.

"I know it's not all about goals but Hazard hasn't looked worth what Chelsea paid so far let alone more than Real paid for Ronaldo, Bale for all his theatrics is having a great season."

It's still Hazard's first season. Yes, he hasn't taken the season by storm. But from what I've seen from him, he'll do so next season or the one after.

Very overpriced though. I agree with you on that.

I agree, at one point he could be an incredible player but at the moment Bale is playing better. If Bale gets that inner ear problem sorted he could be unstoppable.

If spurs say he is worth 60 mil i know he is a diving but bale is a player who can create out of nothing

Bale is a very good player at the end of the day and in todays market you pay big money

Based on what exactly? Bale already has twice as many goals as Hazard. And do you really think Hazard is worth 10 million more than Ronaldo was when he left United?

Fat Boy Anderson cost 20M

Pity you can't sell him by it

To be fair id rather have one bale than three downings.
By that logic, 60m is a bargin!

Raptor, stop asking me questions. Try to answer the questions if you can.

If Bale is not the same league as Falcao then why is he worth more than him? Clueless idiots..

The law has changed, he'd have to be sold by the kilo now

The value of a player isn't what a team would be willing to sell him for, it's what another team would be willing to pay for him.

On that basis, Bale would be worth a maximum of £30m, unless a team like Man City decided to buy him

The law has changed ?

Fergie is the law

Mafia-because bale is younger and doesn't have a £48m buyout clause. Economics isn't your strong point is it?

A player isn't worth what the selling team value him at, he's worth what the buyer does.

Liverpool could value Suarez at £100m but nobody will pay that and so that is not his worth.

£60m for Bale is a lot of money, and frankly, who would actually pay it apart from PSG or some team like that?

People talk about Madrid but in Ronaldo they have a player that is head and shoulders above Bale. £60m for a squad player? No chance. They already got burnt when they did that with Kaka.

Players like Gotze and Neymar - far more talented players than Bale - are being valued at less than that, so Madrid would just sign one of them.

Levy may price Bale out of a move to a bigger club.

Still, they didn't pay him 48mill, did they?

On your theory Sterling is worth more than 40 mil.

Don't bring Neymar into this Darren. He's nothing more than Robinho Mark ii

posted on 30/12/12

There will come a point when bale who is already being talked about as the best player in he league will want to go and win titles etc.

Spurs are not in a position to do that and wont be for a while.

I feel a transfer request coming in the summer

Agree with you. He looks exactly like him.

But he is still a better player than Bale.

Dubbed, true. Although you can't blame Mourinho, he wasn't that great under Pelligrini and also got a really bad injury.

Point stands though. Real won't pay £60m for a player that won't get in their team.

I think Bale could end up staying at Spurs for quite a while as Levy will be too unrealistic with his pricing. Fair play to him though.

Neymar has far more ability than Robinho. Whether he achieves his potential is yet to be known, but his talent alone makes his market value very high.
