He looks ok. But WTF are you on about with Ox. He's at last hitting some form this season.

posted on 30/12/12

He's a headless chicken John mate, I really don't know what you see in him.

Ox is going through the same faze Walcott did were defenders have figured out how to defend against him, Ox just needs more experience.

Ox tracking back, just after Gibbs took that "safe shot" with Podolski and Wilshere screaming for him to pull it back, was insane. He must have covered 60yards in a few seconds.

He is struggling a bit but he shows much more promise than Walcott did at that age. He needs to be patient and learn his trade on the wing before playing centrally. But he'll be come good no doubt.

Zaha has scored 5 goals in 26 apps at Championship level. Thats not very good. Zaha is 20 so he is not that young! I am not sure what all the hype is about.

Ox and Theo were 2/3 years younger when they moved so their statistics were not as pertinent.

We really don't need Zaha unless we can sell Gervinhio.

Wilfried Zaha is 19 hes played over 100 games for Palace

Hes got experience of playing week in week out in a tough division where he gets kicked to death and gets no protection from the refs

Hes got the best speed/fitness stats at Crystal Palace

STOP LOOKING AT THE BLOODY STATS!

Look at his general play, running at players, the skills/tricks he uses to get past players, the chances hes creates whether it be a cross or a through ball, his work rate tracking back etc

Hes got the whole package hes played over 100 games for Palace hes ready to play in the PL

How many times have you seen him play, John?

Stating how many games he has played is a stat...

People who judge players based on stats are mentally ill. Absolutely no understanding of football.

His stats are irrelevant, I just don't think he's a good player.

From what I have seen from Zaha, he is nothing special. Decent dribbling, pace that's it really.

Zaha is 20. Oxlade has been doing OK on the wings with Podolski.

The problem is Gervinhio and Arshavin. Hopefully Arshavin goes in Jan. Thats still leaves the big-head winger.

Gervinhio dribbles well and attacks in straight lines and then does nothing. Maybe if Arsene had examined his stats closely we wouldn't have a Gervinho problem.

For strikers and wingers whos duties are directly to create goals then stats are pretty useful. There is a definite correlation between how good a player is and how good his stats are. There are exceptions as there is with everything but in general good players have good stats and bad players have bad stats.

Darren Bent has great stats but he's awful.

I'm going to be honest here, I haven't seen anything from Chambo which suggests he's a 12M player at 18/19 years of age.

However I'd rather keep working on Chamberlain than sign another overrated youngster, who will command perhaps a larger fee. We need the finished article, not another one for the future.
