I remember us all giving Teddy loads of stick when he came back playing for UTD so whats the difference
I didn't.
- For the service he gave to the club during a time the team was quite mediocre
- leaving on good terms to satisfy his personal ambitions
- and returning to a club whose subsequent performances had been as equally mediocre without him
No grounds whatsoever for complaint.
Remember the song Oh teddy teddy you went to united and won fack all
Followed by oh teddy teddy you went to united and won the league, fa cup and champions league
"Oh teddy teddy you went to united and won fack all"
And the "You're Spurs, and you know you are" when he missed that penalty for Man Utd at WHL.

Teddy put a good stint in throughout his career for his, regardless of being on the rise, at his peak, or in decline.
Very lucky to have kept him for as long as we did.
I was peeved when Teddy went but there was none of the "sulking" and "my head is not right" BS. He always gave his best when he pulled on a Spurs shirt regardless.
I had a bit of time for Berbatov until he done the whole "my head is not right" crap before he went. He had made it clear he was ambitious and had he have played up until the transfer I would not have minded.
I still think the transfer window being open at the beginning of the season is crap tho. Its disruptive and causes Don to consider throwing himself under buses which is not a good thing................................hold on I am having 2nd thoughts on that
grandspur is finally going wibble.
Don OWNS and DRIVES that bus.
hmm.
the thing is, i can't blame modric for wanting to go.
the grass clearly isn't always greener, but he is a class act and needed to test himself at the highest level.
how he conducted himself however, was disgraceful, and i also am not upset that he isn't really rated over there.
i wonder where he will move next
surely no spurs fan doesn't like Teddy even though he went to man u.
it was man u... not arsenal.
Rat Face wont be bothered, he still gets his 140K a week
"i wonder where he will move next"
Do you think he will be regarded as 'Jose stuff' by the next manager, and cleared out accordingly ??
From what I gather he has largely been played out of position - in front of Khedira and Alonso instead of alongside one of them.
Never understood the clamour for him to go behind the striker at Spurs as its clear as day to me his best position is deeper as one if the CM pair.
exactly like dembele really.
can't understand everyone wanting him to go behind the striker as he clearly isn't creative enough.
running from deep is his strength so cm is perfect for him
Completely different players. Dembele is also great at receiving the ball in tight areas and beating a couple of players with a bit of skill....there's no reason why he couldn't play there, and in fact he has.
Henry was a CF at Arsenal but utilised his ability to run at players at speed by going wide to receive the ball when Pires came inside - who's to say this wouldn't work with Bale when he comes inside?
He has the physique to handle himself against dominant CBs and would quite easily hold the ball up with back to goal if needed, unlike Modric who weighs about as much as Kompany's legs and is about as tall.
He certainly looks better in CM but at present I'd prefer him over Siggy or Dempsey if Defoe was the CF.
A whole lot of LA... to be dished out in honour of this survey....
Real Madrid
Modric
Moanrinho
Perez
Ronaldo
One of the most expensive squads in history trailing their bitter rivals by 16 points at the turn of the year..... Not so special are they ha ha ha ha!
grandspurs
he took the pee out of our wonderful THFC and the fans
======================
He did no such thing. He simply had the chance to further his career at one of the biggest clubs in the world. I dont blame any player for wanting to do that.
He didnt exactly wind his contract down & sign for our bitter rivals did he?
He's a Croatian player who signed for us in 2008. Why anyone thought he would be at WHL for life is beyond me.
I doubt any Man Utd fan would turn against Ronaldo if he came back so why we'd do the same for Modric, i dont know.
Would still take Modric in a instant exactly what we need: tempo setter, great passing range, not afraid to get stuck into tackles and keeps possession of the ball.
Obviously doesn't score as much as I would like him to but his key passes are Invaluable makes up for it. Top player.
It's no coincidence that now Modric has left Spurs are struggling to retain possession in the latter stages of matches when the going gets tough.
If you sign Moutinho, would fill the void left by Modric. As they are similar players.
As they say the grass isn't always greener.
No surprise to see him flop, the deal made no sense whatsoever and Modric is incredibly overrated.
Bale on the other hand is genuinely good enough to play for Madrid.
Modric is great, genuine quality not overrated at all is actually quite underrated considering people use his assists/goals stats to prove that he is a 'crap/rubbish' but he's much more than that(As I've explained above).
Key passes are just as important as assists.
He'll prove his worth at Madrid given more time on the pitch as most of his apps have been off the bench.
Agree with the above totally. It may even have to wait for Mourinho to go to happen, but he'll be a success over there
