I'd prefer Gundogan. Lars Bender is also better IMO.

This Alan guy work for United as well then?

Sven Bender has just signed a contract extension today.

And I'd prefer his brother Lars who I think is the better of the two.

If we signed Sven and Lars we'd almost have as many Benders in the side as Arsenal.

gundogan >>>>> all other german CM's

Is Alan the brother of Alex or what? I know Alex said he is buying no one.

Gundogan is a great player, more technically gifted than Sven Bender although weaker in the tackle.

Seen Lars Bender a few times and didn't really notice him.

Not seen much of Strootman.

His little brother is going to sneak in and buy us that CM we have been asking for...

gundogan can tackle, he's a great all round midfielder, IMO the best young MF in europe

Would back Sven Bender over him in a 50/50 though.

God that sounded bad.

That's a bit of an understatement tbh but they're an ideal partnership playing in that double pivot.

They are different player types.
Guendogan is a playmaker, an "8". Bender is a "6", a classical defensive midfielder who's main role is to break up attacks. Guendogan is much better offensively, but Bender is the better defender and works harder.

I see no reason why we don't just sign the entire Dortmund side.

id suggest anybody go and have a watch of gundogan, he works his nuts off up and down the pitch for 90 minutes, he is dortmunds key player, more so than reus, lewa and gotze

...........................

Do you think we could maybe squeeze a United player into the side here and there?

Seen him many times and yes you're right about his work-rate but you have to put the effort in when you're playing for them. It's what makes them such a good team. Everyone is willing to work their socks off.

ive suggested numerous times dropping off 100m in a suitcase at the westfalen stadion and taking rues, gotze and gundogan on the trip back with us

Dortmund are like Barca. Comparing individual players is a little bit silly because they all do their own job really well and work fantastically as a unit.

Wouldn't say no to Subotic, Hummels, Piszczek or Schmelzer either.
