2 one star votes in record time

I think you are imagining him being subtle.

The media will turn on him soon enough. The moment Man Utd stop winning things he will be attacked for being past it and hanging on to former glories.

It's just a matter of time because I don't think he will ever quit.

Ferguson and Mancini had a number of run ins last season.

If United won the title, the spats would be dredged up every year as an indicator of why Ferguson is the master of mind games.

City won the title, though, so none of it will ever be mentioned again, and nobody gives a toss that United performed a record-breaking bottle job with half a dozen games to go, in the midst of the managers exchanging words regularly.

The media, gents

Thought you weren't supposed to try and sway a ref before a game?

The media are scared of him. Pathetic. If they cause any upset, they are banned. The greatest manager in the history of the world, who didn't give a BBC interview for 10(?) years and the F All did F All about it, if he feels any slur, immediately bans the reporter from the Press room. Editors clearly think that what he has to say sells newspapers, and that's probably right. By the same token. What he has to say is generally shi te. JimmyTheRed

Agreed, Jimmy. I blame the media for their subservient behaviour towards him as much as I'd blame him for brow-bearing them.

He can only bully them if they let him.

The media should get together and ban FERGIE from interviews. He'll soon fall in place.

The guy is untouchable as far as the media go and that's the strength he and Utd draw from.

My favourite part is where he makes out that Suarez gets a disproportionate amount of decisions going his way

In other completely unsurprising news (read: lies), expect Wazza to start or at least feature on Sunday. Don't worry though, if they don't win it was because he wasn't fit but had been rushed back

I don't actually have a problem with the amount of guff Fergie talks because they all do but he's been around for so long that it's so much more recognisable when you've seen the same lie about a player's fitness or claims of referee bias before a big game a 1000 times.

It's the media's fault for giving this shíte any credence whatsoever.

I'm not taking that away from him Mark, he has been a fantastic, and lucky manager for the Mancs, no question. It's just that, the level of shi te he speak of late is beginning to bore. JimmyTheRed

"It's the media's fault for giving this shíte any credence whatsoever."

Yeah, it's pretty much a compromise of their journalistic integrity the way they allow him to go on.

I'll never forget my mate tweeting a journalist looking for an update on Rooney's fitness. The journalist said he wouldn't know because he wasn't at Ferguson's press conference, my mate asked who would have been at it and the journo replied that it depended who Ferguson hadn't banned that particular week.

My mate asked, in genuine bewilderment, what he'd ban journalists for and the journo said "Asking Ferguson questions he doesn't like".

I remember a journalist from the Guardian, I think it was Richard Williams, complaining in a few consecutive articles about how much of a procession Ferguson's conferences had become, you're banned for practically anything. I suppose everyone knows that since the Giggs thing, though.

He's an årse for acting like that, but nobody stands up to him, the media have to take a huge portion of the blame. They're the ones who have allowed it to develop.

We all know what happens when you criticise Suarez before a match. I now expect Suarez to score and celebrate in front of Fergie and we'll see who gets wound up

Boy I'm laughing at some of the hate in these posts......I mean why get so worked up and just enjoy the game

No point banning the media from Ot, he's alrady banned most of them except from MUTV and theyre only there on probation.
Fair do's though it's the usual Mr Ferguson mind games. Obviously the ones Moyes tried failed miserably when he accused Suarez of diving so Mr Ferguson has put the onus back onto his mate Webby.
I used to do a red card sweepstake on the old 606 for the Merseyside derby. Im tempted to do one for Sunday based on the minute a Liverpool player gets sent off and who it will be. Personally if I had a punt it would be Suarez 20th minute.

Johnson, 54th minute.
