If that's a load of bollõcks then I'm unapologetic, by the way - I'm rubbered.
21 games in. He's had maybe 3 good performances. Reminded me of Charlie Adam today.
Might want to stick this on the LFC board too
Good article
but I thought Gerrard had a good (but not great) match
Allen was ace for Swansea, ace at the olympics, and probably our best player for the first 6 weeks of the season. All by the age of 22.
yes he's been off form but his good form wasn't a short blip. It was because he was a very good player.
It'll come back
(he was really bad in the first half today admittedly)

Seriously? He had like 3 MOTM performances and 10+ good games overall.
Me too Doc. I've sunk a bottle of Oban. It's taken me ten mins to post this shise
Manfrom, I think he attempts to use the ball far better and more responsibly than Adam. He started off well, really well, but then his form fell away and he hasn't recovered. His game is about taking the ball, even if he's only got 7 yards of space, and moving it on to more advanced players. There isn't any margin for error, and if he's making mistakes or hasn't the confidence to take the ball on unless he's got an ocean of space, then it's better to take him out and use someone else in a different role.
Kaiser, yeah he was really pants in the first half. He didn't even really improve much in the second, we were more positive and he saw more of the ball, but he was hesitant with his passing. Early on in the season, he was getting the ball, turning, and threading it through gaps in the midfield. Not splitting defences or anything, but providing a constant source of passes to the more advanced midfielders and wide players.
It's such a pity that he's lost form as our attack has looked more cohesive (in general, not today) - an in-form Joe Allen would be one of the first names on my Liverpool team sheet. Whilst he's so bereft of form, though, I'd rather play Henderson and give Allen minutes as a sub.

There was nowt else for it after today mate. Work will be tortuous tomorrow, but fëck it
I've knocked back a bottle of red but Oban and obviously Doc has hit something in either quality or quantity
I feel like the Stewart Downing of alcohol consumption
Drinking cider since God knows when, but we also play a game call Sevens where we all flip coins and whoever flips the seventh head picks a short, whoever picks the seventh head after that pays for it, and whoever flips the seventh head after that drinks it.
I had to drink a fair few of them, including one where I got the seventh head and chose brandy just to be a príck, but, inevitably, I flipped the fourteenth and twenty first heads as well and had to drink it.
Cider doesn't mix awfully well with an assortment of spirits
Good post Doc
This is what I got annoyed with earlier. He's an easy target.
5 stars back at you Doc
Allen proved his ability early in the season. He wasn't just good, he was outstanding.
Therefore, we know his ability isn't in question - just his form.
I am delighted to have Joe in the squad. I think he'll be a valuable asset over the years at LFC.
Joe Allen is a good player who had a shocking game
--------------------------------
How many times do we have to hear that until we admit Allen isn't really a good player!
Finally a scouser who speaks sense.
At the beginning of the season he showed he is a good player. Last season he showed he is a good player. He's been off form but he'll get back. Until then I hope we go with the 4-2-3-1 we played in the second half with Gerrard and Lucas in midfield and Suarez off Sturridge, with Sterling and Downing either side. I think it would be much better and Allen can come in for either Gerrard or Lucas and work his way back into the team.

Although once Borini is up to speed fitness wise I would like to see Sterling rested for a few games and use him as an impact sub..

Regardles if Allen is good or not (had some good games, but how many times do you see a young player excell for 1 to 1/2 season, only never to reach that standard again?), if we're willing to spend 15 million pounds on him and 12 million pounds on Sturrigde, I still don't understand why we are unwilling to spend 8 million on Sneijder and 6 million on Huntelaar.
They are players with a wealth of experience in top football. Players who could improve our squad straight away.
I don't understand the need to keep buying young talent for the future, when we already have some great youngsters in the academy.
Buy a couple of experienced players, who can help the current youngsters improving, so they can take over in 2 - 3 years time.
With all due respect to an Allen, I think a Sneijder has a lot more to offer to our youngsters.
Yeah, maybe they wouldn't come to us if approached, but I would like to at least make an approach.
And to all the people who are saying "no chance a player like that will come to LFC" I say b"llocks. This still is LFC, one of the greatest teams in the world, and imo only 2 good players short of competing in the top 4 again.
Huntelaar wouldn't come to us. Be realistic.

I will bring this attitude back to the ownership. If there was a determination to bring in players like the ones you mention and the resourses made available they would come. But they wont so many fans bury their heads in the sand and trot out the FFP rules, FSG have many fans well drilled in this regard.
