West Ham vs Stoke City
Today saw the clash of two teams struggling to stay off the bottom of the league. West Ham has had their problems this season but so have Stoke. The game started very much in West Hams favour when they dominated the game early on. Their first real chance came in the 8th minute when Narsingh put Sigthorsson through on goal. The keeper came out so he tried chipping him but unfortunately the keeper got a hand to it and the ball was pushed wide. Eventually the first goal came for West Ham when Eriksen put through Fischer. He ran towards the goal and sent the ball through the keepers legs.
The second half was different as Stoke came out a different side. They had 2 glaring opportunities with the first coming from Kightly when Muniain put him through on goal. He couldn’t get round the defender so he moved the ball to the left and tried to float it into the goal. The ball hit the post and then into the keepers arms. The next opportunity came when McClean ran down the wing with the ball and then placed it back to Ganso who tried a long shot. The ball however went over. The equaliser came when Muniain ran through the middle of the box and placed the ball past the keeper. However Jones stole the potential goal for Muniain by just putting his own to touch to it. The stoke subs were carefully planned it seems because their sub was the main reason they got the winner. N’Zonzi long balled it to Muniain who controlled the ball and then volleyed it in.
West Ham 1-2 Stoke City
Scorers – Fischer, Jones, Muniain
MOTM: Muniain

Done, Stoke and CEF prove how close it is at the bottom by leapfrogging three teams to pull themselves out of the bottom three.
At the top Swansea and Sunderland still slugging it out, but with Fulham losing to Swansea and QPR drawing with Villa the gap at the top is growing.
