Anybody that claims to be a football fan yet doesn't know that Bristol Rovers play at Ashton Gate should be ashamed of themselves.

I've been to Manchester quite a lot over the last 7/8 years with successive children going to university there.
Sometimes I took the opportunity to watch cricket at the 'other' Old Trafford. A very hospitable ground; and when the conversation of the members there turned to football they all seemed to support either Bolton or Blackburn! Scarcely a mention of United or City!
I got chatting to a couple of fans in a City center pub after my interview. One was a City fan, one a United one. I listened to their conversation for 3/4 of an hour before joining in, and it was fascinating. I went over and congratulated them on conversing so intelligently over football and City V United. I said many in Bristol would have been enthralled by what they said concerning the beautiful game circa 1956 - 2011.
They were both very touched to hear this from a soft southerner. Football is alive and well in Manc.
but did you get the job brr
Dont know
Hope so, but waiting for the verdict
Pray for me
Err sorry Brightredrickster - You came across well in interview, but to be honest we're looking for someone a bit younger and with a little more experience - Thanks for coming though
A bit like Sven then and he's not bad for an old one...
