I hope the governmernt get dragged into this. A football club that uses the Caymen Islands in a tax avoidance scheme trying to supress clubs that are pumping Millions into the UK economy. I think even Cameron would have trouble trying to back that idea.

now City are spending more, its united who say how much you can spend,
hypocrisy has lost its meaning

Sorry? Who is it that is spending more?

I'm sure I just read that City are paying more. You're paying diddly squat sunshine. It's your owner's wealth that has bankrolled your rise to the top, not your clubs.

Man City FC don't have a pot to pee in. Sheik Mansour has all the wealth.

If and when they crack down on taxes, I'm sure we will end up paying more. I don't know why people get up in arms about companies and their taxes, if there is a legal way to make more money, why wouldn't you? I'm willing to bet City only pay whatever the bare minimum amount of tax is that they have to.

Amazon and Starbucks have been dragged before Parliament already for not paying UK Corporate tax.
United could be next.

We could well be, Mancini, but do you know the state of your club's taxes and/or other finances? Who is to say you wont be next? I think using things such as tax as a way to point score against a club is slightly silly, because you have no idea what any club or company is up to.

Good point. Is that why you have such a problem with ffp, because you know if it is introduced, and enforced, you're in a lot of trouble?

This plonker doesn't get it does he? City's previous owner was jailed for Tax evasion.

How much is united not paying in tax? Surely as part of ffp the club should be made to pay the same as the other clubs or it would stand that it is an unfair advantage in terms of what a club could spend.

As a United fan I wouldn't want the PL to introduce this. I find it exciting (albeit somewhat frustrating) when clubs get taken over and new challengers arrive. Would be very boring even as a United fan to win all the time.

Jay Mufc. Thankfully, us Chelsea fans can jump on the same high horse you guys have been sitting on. We turned over a profit last year. 1m profit. We're in the money.

I really don't think some people on here understand the concept of corporation tax.

No, he wasn't. I get the point you are making, but it doesn't mean everyone should just slightly change the facts.

While not condoning it, Loz, if you can get away without an extra expenditure legally, why wouldn't you? It is no different to other companies that do it. By that logic, City should be forced to pay the same amount out that any other club do, otherwise it isn't fair. Doesn't matter if you make a loss, you should still pay x amount, see how silly that sounds?

Wonder if you'll post a profit without the CL and FA cup this year Mr C

Doubt it Jay. We'll have to jump off the horse around November time when our accounts are published
