I thought he bought a very expensive piece of land and fiddled the costs. Isn't that right? I stand to be corrected.

We have no debt. If the owners choose to walk away, City will find a very decent buyer. And by that I mean a buyer who will put money into the club and not siphone money out from it.
-------
Yes you have debt, its just that they choose to wipe it out from another sister company.
What you earn as a business is nothing in comparison to what you spend as a business.
You do not spend within in your means and that is the reason why you are destroying football, hence the FFP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
United are neck deep in debt of almost £0.5bn.
City are debt free. And I hope you are not confusing loss making with debt?
And if the bank decides to call in their debt now, you guys are toast.

Well done. You truly are the thickest poster on 606.
On what planet can banks just "decide" to call in their debt now? Interest payments have been agreed and are being maintained. Do you even remotely understand how this works? Can your bank just suddenly "decide" to make you pay off the entire balance of your mortgage in one lump sum just because it feels like it? Would you accept that?
And YOU are clearly the one mistaking loss making for debt. Do you understand what a loss is? Or do you believe that a loss is just something that can and should be ignored and crossed off the balance sheet as though it never happended? Do you even understand that this is what you are advocating?
Do you understand that the reason you are debt free is that your debts are written of by a wealthy benefactor outside of football? Did it not occur to you that United's debt could just as easily be written off in exactly the same way if our club chose to ignore FFP rules like yours does?
Do you even understand these words or are they just squiggles and interesting shapes to you?
I really don't think some people on here understand the concept of corporation tax.
I do,it's my accountants job to minimise this by trying to get to a zero balance every April
Stretford,
His mrs or his brother got done for tax evasion, he never has been. Think it was fraud but I'll check later. As I said, I get our point, there is just an awful lot of half truths being said on this thread!

As a United fan I wouldn't want the PL to introduce this. I find it exciting (albeit somewhat frustrating) when clubs get taken over and new challengers arrive. Would be very boring even as a United fan to win all the time.

But this wouldn't happen - just like it never used to happen...We went 26 years without winning the league despite having the biggest fan base in the world.
Before the transfer market was artificially inflated it was far more competitive than it is now. Of course UNited would have an advantage in the transfer market but there is a big difference between having an advantage in a competitive market and effectively creating your very own transfer market at well above market rates that literally no other club in the world can afford because the wealth that fuels it has nothing to do with football.
Of course TV money has had a big impact on the economics of the game but the sugar daddy phenomenon is what has caused all the problems imo - particularly those associated with ludicrously unrealistic player wages. Only City could ""afford"" to pay players hundreds of thousands of pounds per week......to play for other clubs FFS!!!
Do you even understand these words or are they just squiggles and interesting shapes to you?

It isn't. The average number of winners has not changed at all. I think people forget the dominance of some clubs pre the PL era.

I love this guy
And the sheik hasn't made the PL more competitive either.
Before he came along it was a two horse race between United and Chelsea. And United and Arsenal before that.
Now it's between United and City. Still two horses.
All he's done is vastly improved City. Nothing more. Total myth that he's changed the PL because he hasn't. You'll always get 2 or 3 teams that will dominate. Fact of life.
Would that be the same 'loyalty' as amply demonstrated by your host of empty seats?
Because 8pm kickoffs on a sub zero Wednesday night in an fa cup replay to West Ham are always going to be a sellout.
