Im not worried about liverpool. They havent really improved their team since last season. The players brought in are, average mid table players. They are not the type of players that would win you the premiership, or top 4 finish. If arsenal bought those players i'd be disappointed. Out of their recent signings i'd only take Suarez into the arsenal team, and he still wouldn't be a nailed on starter..

I am always amazed why RvP is so highly rated. Yes, he is very good, but not World Class at all.

That said, i dont think Liverpool will finish above Arsenal in the league at all.....

Mouseburger. RVP had the best goals to minutes played ratio last season of any striker, with 18 goals and 7 assists in 1,770 minutes played. Suarez had 4 goals and 5 assists in 1,100 minutes by comparison. (Source www.premierleague.com)

When fit RVP is Arsenal's best player along with Fabregas. For three or four seasons this has been the case, but injuries have prevented him from playing a full season. When fit most Arsenal fans would rate him better than any other striker in the league.

Whilst I agree with most of your match-ups, (apart from Koscielny, who I think is awful), there is a lot more to a game of football than the sum of it's individual players.

There are two Arsenals. The right one comes out and they'll wipe the floor with anyone. The wrong one and they fall apart.

Arsenal's problems are tactical and psychological. They lack a leader with authority and they lack grit. If things go against them, you see heads go down. This comes from the top, IMO. Wenger's constant complaining about decisions etc allow his players to shift blame for gutless performances from themselves to the ref, the other team, etc etc.

I think the Arsenal defence particularly lacks discipline and is primarily built for going forward. Vermalen is a fantastic player, but in the 89th minute defending a corner, I'd go for Carra every day of the week. Likewise Gibbs and Sagna are talented but can be exposed.

All in, you can have the better individual players but that doesn't mean you're going to win. a lot more factors are involved..
