------------------------Kehl ------------ De Guzman ------------------

-------------------------------- Damião ----------------------------------

Subs; Tremel, Williams, Bertrand, Waynama, Benteke

Patricio is Solid keeper, I want him to be brave and come to collect loose balls in the box,. Will collect high balls to.

Alderweireld will be the dominant defeder and will be asked to be a big character, he will organize the defensive line. He will take the big duties. He will be marking the the striker (if two the main striker)

Caulker is quick and is a good defender and he will mark the other striker if he is on or comes on, he will mark the other striker if not will provide cover.
Both CB’s will show the defenders onto their weaker foot and show them away from goal.

Azpi and Davies will look to help the two wide men out when attacking but will need to choose their attacks wisely.
When defending they should look to show their wingers into the corner or onto their weaker foot so the cross isnt as good. If they steal the ball I want them to look to create a counter attack quickly.

Kehl and De Guzman, Kehl will sit deep and keep an eye on the AM of the opposition He will sit deep and will look to stop opposite playing, when he wins the ball he will look to dispatch it quickly to start an attack.
De Guzman will be used as a box to box midfielder. De Guzman will help to break up the oppositions play but will be the one to push up when we are attacking, he will always look to make himself available to receive a pass to play to others.

Hernandez and Mertens are playing as wingers and inside forwards, pass and move all the time try and create openings, they will take on the fullbacks on or indeed cut inside When defending they will look to help the full backs but will also look to make runs when we get possession to recieve the ball and run.

Drilled crosses will be preferred.

Damiao will always look the recieve the ball, he will look to make clever runs into the box when crosses come in to look to tap them in.

Michu will look to exploit the space that is created and be used to run into the box get on the end of crosses and even support the striker.

Reina needs to orginase his defense. He should
collect crosses and look to start quick counter
attaks.

Whittaker Has lots of pace to get up and down the wing.
when defending he needs to jockey and force the wideman
back.

Dede is domiant defender with hieght strength and pace he will mark
the main striker and win all headers and every tackle. He will orginaze the
offer defenders.

O'Shea is very experinced and cover for Dede or mark other striker
he will also need watch for loose players.

Garrido is a attaking fullback and will overlap snodgrass he will make
sure to show the winger away from goal and make it hard to cross.

Tetty is the defensive midfeilder in this game and will look to stay infront
of the back four and protect them just breaking up play and passing to shelvey
or howson.

Shelvey when defending he should look to chase the ball and go in strong on any 50-50s
when he has the ball deep should look play out to wingers or fullbacks.when attaking he
should always be avalible to recivie the ball and make some late runs into box.

Albrighton will use his pace to beat the man and cross he should drill crosses to holt and
sometimes for shelvey on edge when he is in space.

Snodgrass is very good crosser and look to get as many balls into the box as possible he should
also us garridos overlapping to cut inside and shoot.

Holt- should move around and make it hard for cbs to mark with crosses he sould look to stay with smaller
of the cbs.

Subs: Livaja, Weimann, Niang, Ginter, Icardi

Carvajal-Rampage down the right with his brilliant attacking quality, but track back to prevent runs. Must whip crosses in to the feet of attackers

Dante and N'Koulou-Must stay strong, win everything in the air, put body on the line, and be a rock in defence. N'Koulou comes up for corners

Shmelzer-Do what hes done at Dortmund, defend brilliantly, whilst also coming inside to join up with attack. Look to send in whipping balls into Muriel

Veratti and Gundogan-Veratti more defensive, make himself a strong and physical presence, keeping the ball rolling and shooting from long range. Gundogan must link up the midfield to attack, and gives us that flair which can control a game.

Zaha-The young star should look to break into the opposition box using a wide range of skills, and use his brilliant feet to jiggle away from tackles. Must link up well with De Bruyne to cause a devastating partnership.

De Bruyne-The main player. He will be much better in the centre, and must look to get brilliant sly passes into the feet of Muriel. He will look to run up and support Muriel, but also use his fantastic vision to send in through balls out wide. He has brilliant dribbling skills so will always escape attention of his man

Draxler-Must drift in at all times and use his frightening pace and power to cause the RB problems. Must come in to support Muriel, and get his brilliant shots on target

Luis Muriel-The man who has been doing brilliant this season, will play in the ST role. He will look to latch onto any ball, and use his magic to work the ball into an area where it will be the most dangerous. His brilliant runs will tire the opposition, and his finishing can be top class when given the opportunity.

300 Word Tactical Brief

General - We're away (again...) so get on the ball early on and shut up QPR's boring fans. Go for the win, we have a great team, nothing to fear!

GK – Crosses won't be the problem from QPR today, what will be a danger is players running at our defence. So Mignolet will have to be on top form organising those in front of him. Be vocal.

FB - QPR's wingers are their biggest asset, so for today the fullbacks will have to be conservative with their attacking talents. Cole's experience should be enough to see of Blaszykowski, whilst Walker has energy and pace to burn so shouldn't be caught out by El-Shaarawy. Cattermole to stop ES from cutting inside.

CB – Di Natale is a good player, but getting on a bit and has lost a lot of pace. CB's to get tight to him to stop him from getting any time on the ball. Keep him quiet and QPR lose so much up front.

DM – Cattermole in particular is to sit deep, and help out Walker deal with ES. It'll probably be Holtby through the middle for QPR so Sissoko should use his physicality to stop the QPR midfielder from creating too much.

Pirlo – Get the ball. Control the game. Prey on Pogba who is likely to start with Cleverley injured. Pogba's inexperienced and defensively still a little naive. Should give Pirlo time and space to pull the strings.

Forwards – Trio of Rodriguez, Reus and Austin today with Villa injured. Austin might lack the all round skill of Villa, but his poaching is up there with the best. He's to play on the shoulder of the slowest CB and use his acceleration to get onto through balls from Reus and Rodriguez. Both wingers are allowed to attack their fullbacks, but Rodriguez should be mindful of Rafael's growing potential. Try and get the upperhand early on to cause him to become rash in his tackles.

Substitutions -

Winning:
At 60 - Hargreaves on for Sissoko - Slightly more defensive try and shore up the defensive side. Also adds and offensive element as he can spread the ball very well

At 75 - Pirlo off for Hoolahan - Fresh legs and a like for like change really. Brown on for Walker - More experience on to help see out the game. Brown's been in this situation hundreds of times with United, he knows what it takes to secure a win.

Losing/Drawing:

At 60 - Bring on Hoolahan for Cattermole, Pirlo drops deep and control from there whilst shielding the defence. Hoolahan to add a new layer of creativity for QPR to deal with.

at 75 - Push Pirlo back up to CAM, Sissoko acts as a one man wall for the defence. Go for the win!

Set Pieces:

FK - Pirlo
Penalty - Pirlo
Corners - Left - Pirlo Right - Rodriguez
Captain: Pirlo

------------------------Sandro--------Pogba------------------
-----Blaszcykowski--------Holtby--------------El Sharawwy-
------------------------------Di Natale-----------------------------

Subs: Butland, Stones, Kirchhoff, Cork, Kovacic, Atsu, Fingabosson

We will be playing a high pressing and attacking game against Sunderland as we seek to dominate the opposition. We will be playing quick moving and direct ball along the floor in order to get it to our attacking players who will run directly at their defence and trouble them with pace and passing, whilst Di Natale will lead from the front as a poacher in the box. Our midfield possess energy and drive with Sandro there to break up the play, whilst Sandro is a box-to-box midfielder capable of aiding attack and defence. Their wingers can be pinned back by our marauding full backs, who will be a part of our high defensive line whilst Ferdinand will 'cover' through balls and Juan will mark the main striker. Ter Stegen will claim any balls into the box and organise the defence. We want to dominate the game, and will do so with an attacking style of play.

Subs:
Atsu on for Di Natale, with El Sharawwy moving to CF after 75 mins

If winning after 75 mins, Kovacic on for Holtby drops deeper into 3 man midifeld

Week 2 - STOKE CITY v Fulham
----------------------Bergovic
Shotton-----Varane-----Huth-----Wilson
----------------------N'Zonzi
Kightly-----------Ganso----------Etherington
------------Jones----------Muniane
Subs
Sorensen, Dunn, Wilkinson, Whelan, Delf, Cameron, Jerome

Formation
An attack-minded 4-1-3-2 formation. Home advantage will be crucial, so I want the team to come out of the blocks quickly and press Fulham early to get the lead.

Keeper
When distributing the ball, he should look to short passes to defence or N'Zonzi. He should only punt it if no options available. At crosses and set pieces, should look to catch rather than punch.

Defence
Shotton and Wilson should look after their defensive duties first and foremost, but look to get forward when we are having periods of dominance. Huth will lead the line and Varane will keep close to Huth to reduce the gap through the middle. Varane will use his ability on the ball to always look for quick outlet to the wings.

Midfield
N'Zonzi will break up play and look to play wide at every opportunity. Wingers should help out full backs when necessary, but look for the angled balls from N'Zonzi. They have been instructed to press the opposition fullbacks to minimise their time on the ball. Ganso has a free role, and he should link play just behind the strikers, looking to lose his marker and pull their midfield out of position.

Strikers
Muniane will play slightly deeper and off to the left to support Etherington. Jones will play right at the top and try pulling their CB's apart to allow Muniane and Ganso to exploit the gaps with forward runs. All three attacking players are instructed to shoot when in sight of goal.

Set Pieces
Corners - Shotton and Etherington take in swinging corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, N'Zonzi and the full backs stay back to prevent counters, the CB's and Jones attack the ball, the other CMs and wingers take positions just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.

Free Kicks - For direct FK's N'Zonzi and Etherington will shoot depending on which foot it favours. For Indirect FKs, player nearest to position will take.

Penalties - Etherington is the designated taker.

Subs
Keeping this simple. Where possible, subs will be like for like. No subs before 70 mins unless a player is injured.

-------------------Benaglio
Jenkinson—Burdisso---Mexes—Monreal
-----------De Jong---Sahin
Ben Arfa---Berbatov-----Ince
------------------Ba

Subs – Weidenfeller, Chiriches, Gibbs, Coquelin, Diaby, Henriksen, Gomez

Game Plan: We need to use our strength in the middle to overpower our opposition and keep command of general play. This means we should keep possession. I want us to play with some pace and skill as well. Play with men behind the ball.

Positional Tactics

Benaglio needs to keep command of his area and go for every ball in his area.

Jenkinson needs to push their winger back to avoid him cutting in or making a cross. However if that is not possible then he should push him out wide. Jenkinson must act as an option for the winger when we’re on attack. Monreal must do the same as Jenkinson.

Burdisso and Mexes should play with an offside trap and must reduce any space that the opponents striker has. They must clear any ball crossed or lobbed into the box.

De Jong must act as our protector of the defence. This means he’ll leave their playmaker with little or no space. He must get in their way, use his physical strength. Sahin must control possession by winning the ball and supplying the ball forward to our biggest threats.

Ben Arfa must use his pace and skill to outrun the defender and create opportunities. He should look to cut into the box thus opening space for Jenkinson. This will put added pressure on the defenders. He should use the winger to help him cause trouble for our opponents. Ince should do the same as Ben Arfa but using Monreal as help. Ben Arfa and Ince should swap positions every now and then.

Berbatov should use his pace and strength to open up space for the other attackers. This will add pressure on the defence. He must also look to supply balls to Ba.

Ba should just get into space and create himself as an option. He must also open up space for others to run into.

Subs – Coquelin for De Jong 75’

FK: Ben Arfa
CK: Ince

SUNDERLAND vs. Villa

--------------------------Pirlo----------------------

--------------------------Villa----------------------

Subs: Westwood, Bramble, Martin, Hargreaves, Hoolahan, Beckham, Austin

300 Word Tactical Brief

General – First home game of the season! Fans will be rocking which can only go in our favour.

GK – Begovic is a brilliant keeper, he’s taller than Martinez so aerially he shouldn’t be threatened. He’s also a superb shot stopper, and as shown at Stoke a brilliant organizer of defenders. He’ll make sure the young CB’s don’t lose their heads today.

FB – Walker is a very solid RB, and against the inexperienced Fischer he should be in control. Bertrand is in on loan, but he’ll be buzzing with energy as it’s his debut of a long stay. Villa’s First XI winger’s out injured, so hopefully it’ll be an easier ride for Berty.

CB –Smalling and Subotic have conceded just one goal in two games, and will be forming a partnership now. Against Martinez they will have to be careful in their tackles, allow the DM’s to make sure he never gets space to run at us.

DM – Cattermole and Sissoko bring energy and defensive strength to this side. They will ensure Martinez and Maher can’t breathe, they’re also bigger and stronger, and should (legally!) use this to their advantage.

Pirlo – Get the ball. Control the game. Britton is the weak link, he’s a good player, but defensively a lacking. Pirlo thinks several levels higher than anyone else on this pitch, use it to his advantage and control the game.

Forwards – Villa is back! All my front three are in good form so should take this on into the first home game and strut their stuff. Villa to focus on Vertonghen’s replacement, most likely Shawcross, who will not be able to keep up with Villa’s pace onto through balls. Reus and Rodriguez to be hitting the area’s just behind the defence if it pushes to far forward. If they sit deep, the trio of attackers will pull back and use the space inbetween the defence and midfield to create and score. Also, Reus v Taylor should lead to goals, sorry di!

We are playing a counter attacking 5 - 4 -1 formation today, which is easily transferable into a 3 - 6 - 1 in attack. We will absorb the pressure that comes our way in attack, with our three man centre defence which will nullify the opposistion, whilst our anchor man Sandro will pick up their main creative threat and mark them out of the game. A Sando/Rafael as marauding wingbacks will spend the day getting up and down the line, whilst our wingers will act as inside-forwards in counter-attack trying to cut inside and find the space between FB and CB. Holtby is given license to be creative, whilst Di Natale is a fox-in-the-box poacher who will finish off anything that comes his way. The link up play between the front four is very good, and with the support of the wing-backs the overload of numbers means we will be very difficult to defend against with our fluid, direct, quick style of attack and passing. Contain, hold and counter-attack is the order of the day.

Corners/Free Kicks - Holtby
Captain/Penalties - Di Natale

Subs:

Game plan –
We plan to keep things tight at the back today and hit the opposition on the counter-attack.

Buffon will be big and strong in one-on-one’s with the opposition and in the air too and he’ll command his area. Van Rhijn and Taylor are to sit back and defend this week none of them are allowed to cross the half-way line. Both need to be big and strong in their tackles and play the ball down field quick to our wingers. Godin and Shawcross are to command the area around them and also need to be big and strong in their tackles. Both need to also get the ball away from our box as quick as possible. Iturraspe is to protect our defence and make sure the opposition don’t get anywhere near our box. Xavi is to get the ball and pass it down field and break with the other four players ahead of him. He also needs to help Iturraspe out if he needs it. Cuenca and Tello will receive the ball from our full backs and break at the opposition full backs with pace and get crosses in for Martinez to get on the end of, both can also interchange wings throughout the match and have a shot on goal. Maher is to receive the ball off our CM or DM and break with pace down the field and get into a goal scoring opportunity. Martinez is to make himself big and strong and to keep on the shoulder of the last opposition CB and break into the box with pace and have a shot on goal.

Set piece: Freekicks and Corners: Shotton, Pens: Muniain, Captain: Huth

Game plan –
We plan to keep things tight at the back today and hit the opposition on the counter-attack.

Mingolet will be big and strong in one-on-one’s with the opposition and in the air too and he’ll command his area. Crescenzi and Wilson are to sit back and defend this week none of them are allowed to cross the half-way line. Both need to be big and strong in their tackles and play the ball down field quick to our wingers. Huth and Cameron are to command the area around them and also need to be big and strong in their tackles. Both need to also get the ball away from our box as quick as possible. Palacios is to protect our defence and make sure the opposition don’t get anywhere near our box. N’Zonzi is to get the ball and pass it down field and break with the other four players ahead of him. He also needs to help Palacios out if he needs it. Shotton and McClean will receive the ball from our full backs and break at the opposition full backs with pace and get crosses in for Muniain to get on the end of, both can also interchange wings throughout the match and have a shot on goal. Ganso is to receive the ball off our CM or DM and break with pace down the field and get into a goal scoring opportunity. Muniain is to make himself big and strong and to keep on the shoulder of the last opposition CB and break into the box with pace and have a shot on goal.

No subs for this week .

Changing to 4-2-3-1 if the opposition put pressure on our flanks

-------------------------Stekelenburg

Subs: Jääskeläinen, Santana, Torres, Alou Diarra, Henriksen, Callejón, Chamakh
Captain: Stekelenburg
Corners: Narsingh/John
Free Kicks: Eriksen/Djuricic

From kick off we’ll have a ‘pressing’ 3-1-5-1 formation

Stekelenburg is a talented and experienced keeper.

The trio of de Vrij, Nuytinck and Martins Indi are composed defenders who will look to play a low risk defensive game. they will find support from Nordtveit when required + will always have plenty of options when looking to distribute the ball. All 3 are strong in the air and all 3 are technically gifted with the ball at their feet.

Nordtveit will play as the defensive midfielder who is also comfortable at slipping into the back 4 if required – see second formation above.

Nordtveit is a great tackler, and is also a great passer of the ball. He will keep the ball moving with neat passing, whilst not doing anything too extravagant.

Eriksen and Clasie are two passing and technical footballers.

When we are on the back foot so to speak Eriksen and Clasie will drop much deeper and so on – technically becoming a 3-3-3-1 formation.

Narsingh, Djuricic and John have very little defensive worries in this match, they are purely here to batter opponents with relentless waves of tidy, pacy and creative attacking play.

Fischer is not just an out and out centre forward. His ability to orchestrate and create chances for others not just himself, means that he will be encouraged to drop deeper, allow Djuricic at times to be the most forward of our players.

-------------De Jong---Sahin
Ben Arfa------------Berbatov-----Ince
------------------------Ba

Subs – Weidenfeller, Rafinha, Chiriches, Diaby, Koke, Coquelin, Henriksen

Game Plan – Our aim is to play to play our football on the ground. We will keep our passing short but with pace. We must keep to our position while always creating yourself as an option for the player on the ball. We must work as a unit and as a team that wont be broken. Keep your positions tight and secure while off the ball but feel free to roam about into space a bit more while on the ball.

Benaglio should keep command of his defence, keeping them in their positions and keeping their concentration up.

Jenkinson and Monreal must make sure their wingers are pushed out wide forcing them to make crosses. Do not let other players overlap you in the process. Push them to use their weaker foot and then make pointless runs back. They are also asked to make runs forward to help attack. Mbiwa and Mexes must stay deep and force out any potential attacks. They must force the striker out of the game and allow no space for him to exploit.

De Jong and Sahin must command possession by acting as protection of the back 4 and then supplying the ball to the wings or if possible to a player in space. De Jong should keep with their main playmaker. Ben Arfa and Ince should look to make runs into the box and then create chances for the other players around them. If they are blocked out they should use the full backs who are helping in attack.

Berbatov should act as a second striker who is trying to create opportunities for Ba. However he should get into space and try and score too. He should use the wingers.

Ba should just look to get into goalscoring positions by using his pace and strength to force his way into the box.

FK: Ben Arfa
CK: Ince
PK: Berbatov
Captain: Berbatov
Vice Captain: Mexes

We are playing an attacking 5 - 4 -1 formation today, which is easily transferable into a 3 - 6 - 1 in attack. We will absorb the pressure that comes our way in with our three man centre defence which will nullify the opposistion, whilst our anchor man Sandro will pick up their main creative threat and mark them out of the game. A Sando/Rafael as marauding wingbacks will spend the day getting up and down the line, whilst our wingers will act as inside-forwards in counter-attack trying to cut inside and find the space between FB and CB. Holtby is given license to be creative, whilst Lewamdowski is the complete striker who will finish off anything that comes his way. The link up play between the front four is very good, and with the support of the wing-backs the overload of numbers means we will be very difficult to defend against with our fluid, direct, quick style of attack and passing. Contain, hold and attack with speed is the order of the day.

Corners/Free Kicks - Holtby
Penalties: Lewandowski
Captain - Ferdinand

If winning after 75 mins: Stones > Rafael and Atsu > El Sharawwy
If drawing/losing after 75 mins: Di Natale > Lewandowski

------------------------Waynama ------------ Moutinho -----------
Hernandez ----------------- Michu------------------------- Benteke
-------------------------------- Damião ----------------------------------

Subs; Williams, Rangel , Strootman, Moore

Tremel is Solid keeper, I want him to be brave and come to collect loose balls in the box,.

Waynama an Moutinho, Waynama will sit deep and keep an eye on the AM of the opposition He will sit deep and will look to stop opposite playing, when he wins the ball he will look to dispatch it quickly to start an attack.
Moutinho will be used as a box to box midfielder. Moutinho will help to break up the oppositions play but will be the one to push up when we are attacking, he will always look to make himself available to receive a pass to play to others.

Michu look to exploit the space that is created and be used to run into the box get on the end of crosses and even support the striker
