Im pretty sure he'll win MVP
___________
What's your predictions for the playoff spots in the West? It looks so competitive from top to bottom!
Mine:
1. Oklahoma City Thunder
2. LA Clippers
3. San Antonio Spurs
4. Houston Rockets
5. Golden State Warriors
6. Memphis Grizzles
7. Minnesota T-Wolves
8. New Orleans Hornets
7 and 8 spots are wide open IMO.
I would have the Rockets at 3rd but SA refuses to die so I think they'll have a better record than us.
1) Thunder
2) Spurs
3) Rockets
4) GSW
5) Clippers
6) Grizzlies
7) Wolves
8) Lakers
You have the pelicans/hornets? wow. why?
@Ramsey
8th spot was one of the most difficult one to choose. Portland, New Orleans, Dallas, Denver, LA Lakers could all be in the 8th spot. I chose NO based on the assumption that everyone's healthy and I wanted to be different. They have a pretty decent starting 5 and a scoring punch off the bench in Vasquez. Not too shabby and I expect them to win 40+ games this season barring significant injuries.
LA Lakers - too old and health issues
Dallas - Nothing outside of Dirk
Portland - If not Pelicans, I expect them to be in the playoffs after getting heavy reinforcements for the bench.
Denver - losing Igoudala, Karl, and the GM hurts, but they still have a decent team and an up and coming head coach. However I don't think they have a huge chance.
great rea.

European Ch'ships under way atm.
Dont follow that stuff, dont have the time to
Good ch'ship. Wide open. France & Spain on paper look to be the favourites, but they've both lost already (vs Germany and hosts Slovenia). There are at least half a dozen teams who could win it.

The words Dennis Rodman and diplomacy don't go together. Last time he was in North Korea, they've threatened to nuke us.
One more month till NBA starts! Go Rockets!
Anyone following NBA here?!?
They'll be around once the season kicks off.
So, who's gone where and what new draft picks should I look out for?
Sweet! Can't wait for it to start! Ya'll stateside or in the UK? Not sure if UK has a large NBA following...
@just call saul, any specific teams you wanna know about? Lots of moves this summer, it could be while lol
Spain myself, basketball's way bigger here than in the UK, but tbh I only follow from a distance, not like Edin, Rev & Saint who are pretty big on it. I generally keep an eye out on how our guys are doing as 6.15am starts and 2 kids don't really allow me much else.
@Saul, Gasol brothers and Ricky Rubio are probably the ones you keep a close tab of? I'm a big fan of Rubio, that flair and style in his passing is brilliant! Hope you get to follow more of it this year, I think it's going to be a heck of a season!
@Edinspur, which NBA team is your favourite?
San Antonio spurs.
I'm sure we've had this convo before
hahaha we probably did! It's been a while but I'm going to remember it now!
Spurs- so underrated, I think my Rockets got a good chance to dethrone for the division this year but they have come out of the gates running. What did you think of Splitter's new contract? Thought dude was wayyyyy overpaid..

Yep, those of course, Ibaka too, but I personally have a weakness for Calderon.
Don't really root for any particular teams nowadays, though when I first got into the NBA I used to follow the Hawks due to Dominique Wilkins (yeah, I'm that old!).
Haha the first game I've ever went to was when I was 4 and the former University of Houston duo Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler were the top two 1-2 punch and were delivering their second championship to Houston!
I really wished I could've seen 80's and the early 90's... My dad always talked about Magic, Larry Bird (he went to same school as my dad), Kevin McHale, Dr. J, Wilkins, and of course MJ. I grew up watching the latter of years of Olajuwon, so Barkley became my favourite player when I was in primary school.
So Mr. Senior, Lebron or MJ? Who would you rather have? It's been the basketball argument of the summer after Miami won again.
