Jack Robinson's outburst at Luis Suarez

I'd have told him it if I knew I made the right decision but messed up. I'd be beating myself up and wouldnt need somebody screaming at me also.

I think this is a rediculous over reaction.

he made a mistake, got told about it, and most people's reaction in the same situation would be the same as Robbo's...

No discussion needed!!!

Was a poor reaction to the then skipper as I am certain had that been Gerrard he won't have reacted
that way. Still hes had plenty of criticism since from manager and fans so best to leave it there.

All players make a bad choice during a game, the idea that shooting instead of passing has put his liverpool career in trouble is ridiculous. He's a good youngster who in the heat of the moment messed up but hes also willing to stand up for himself on the pitch which I like to see in a player.

I forget which game now but didn't JR make a howling back pass last year which cost us a cup match?

Think your getting confused with Flanagan!

Off topic here but my word if that shot Gerrard rattled against the post went in i was gonna go mental for days.

Did Gerrard hit the post? I know he hit the bar but as we all know you get sweet FA for that!

I might agree with this then.

I don't think anyone on this thread thinks this is so.

I also liked BRs quote about 'growing pains' the average age of that side was 22. The LFC team which used to be packed with experience is now a nursery and along the way there are going to be more marches like this.

As fans I think we need to get behind players like Robinson and Flanagan and give them the best chance possible of progressing.

I take that comment back it was indeed the bar King Luis Suarez. Thanks for the correction.

I'd tell Suarez where to go too; the only real gripe I've had with Luis this season has been his OTT reactions whenever a youngster like Sterling etc makes a mistake.

Raheem was 17 when the season started, and whilst Luis is great with him when one of them scores or assists for the other, he really does go mental when Sterling mucks up. It's particularly rich when you consider Luis' penchant for taking ambitious shots when his team-mates are open...

There's a guy on my Sunday team who's like that, thinks it's his remit to be absolutely foaming-at-the-mouth apoplectic at every single mistake that's made over the course of 90 minutes. You have to tell him to eff off; you make a mistake and you're annoyed enough at yourself, and then some mouth starts completely blowing his top as well. There's a difference between constructive criticism and lashing out.

He goes over the top mad and in turn is told where to go, and after the match it's all forgotten about. Personally, if I tried biting my lip whenever someone sent a barrage of abuse at me over a mistake, I'd last probably two matches before decking them.

Mountain out of molehill.

Also it wasn't an outburst, he muttered it with his head down ffs.

It's a Latin thing. He is probably quite supportive behind the scenes.

DSG-

We all know them, and although annoying they do serve a purpose... simple answer dont screw up

TOOR- the whole discussion about this is rediculous as is media reaction to BR yesterday! I think what he said was good. Take your chance or you wont get another... if he had defended them imagine the media response...damned if you do etc.

Exactly. It also stops the likes of Sterling running at players as he doesn't want to lose it and get blasted.

There was a bad media reaction to Rodgers yesterday? Ahh that explains the sheep on here yesterday who didn't actually watch the match but had views about it. They simply read the media reaction.

I thought his comments were excellent.

Definitely. You can see when everything goes well that Suarez always loves celebrating with his teammates and making a point of giving a hug to whoever provides him with an assist. He's great with Sterling when Sterling scores or assists him.

He does go over the top when something goes wrong. People say that Robbo wouldn't have told Gerrard where to go, but when Gerrard is annoyed with a team mate he tends to calm down quickly, it's an initial outburst and then he'll get on with things. Suarez's haranguing tends to go on a bit longer, he makes a point of staring disgustedly at the offender for quite some time.

Tempers were pretty frayed by then...

Plus every player is trying to assert himself. Robinson had to make an instant decision, he could not wait until someone told him what to do. OK, it was not the best one, but this is something that only comes from experience.

Mind you, the vocabulary is not appropriate.

Robinson made the wrong decision and shouldn't told luis to f off.

Dr Seven Grater - RELEASE THE KRAKEN!

I think you're pretty much spot on. I didn't see the incident with Robinson but I've seen Suarez go mad at Sterling and it really bugs me. Rooney sometimes does the same thing with Welbeck and although nobody should be exempt from a rollicking, I also think that there's better ways of going about it.

When I'm playing, I would only ever get angry at a teammate if he wasn't trying his hardest. If the rest of the team is busting themselves and one lad is standing about looking disinterested then I will very quickly tell him what I think of that. But when you have a player, who is giving a 100% and has just worked himself into a good position but then made a mistake...then I don't think losing the plot with him and throwing your arms up in the air is the way to go. Especially when the player is young and inexperienced like Sterling and Robinson. You go to them and tell them that there were better options available and to keep their head up and try to make the right decision next time. As Has been previously said, Robinson would already have been angry at himself and didn't need Suarez blasting him. Being a captain or a senior player doesn't just give you the right to scream at the younger players if they make a mistake.

Robinson was bang out of order and should be sent right back to the reserves where he belongs.

You can never say FO to your captain when he's reprimanding you. A bloody 19 year old with that cheek and he's not even that good.

Get rid ASAP.
