do you not see that there is a difference between having a spring in your step, and charging round the pitch flying into 2 footed knee high challenges ?
Gazza didn't make any two-footed challenges in the 1991 FA Cup final, did he ??

...and i dont know how you think someone who makes 2 bad challanges (at least one of wich was a 2 footed knee high lunge) in the first 10 minutes or so of a game, has gone out in the right frame of mind.
he quite clearly was not in the right frame of mind, and needed to be calmed down. because he wasnt he suffered an injury which ruined his career and his life.

"I think JPB is wumming here."
I think JPB is confusing Gazza with Luongo.
wumming ?
you are basically saying that everything went just as it should have for him in that game, when it wrecked his fakin life. and youre saying im wumming ?
fak off mate
im going out to watch the game. i'll leave you pair of clowns to it

here is a video which explains the points i have made for those who cant remember (especially fans of youtube).
gary mabutt explains that gazza "just needed someone to calm him down"
the referee also explains that it was a red card offence, but he decided not to give a red card because he knew gazza was going off injured
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAfWKU-W7Gk
who's supposed to be making an apology again ?
JPB :
You claimed that Gazza made "two footed" tackles in the FA Cup final. He didn't.
"gary mabutt explains that gazza "just needed someone to calm him down"
1. Because he was so amped up.
2. Mabbutt was the captain on the pitch that day, was he not ??

yours since your whole argument is based on a 2 footed knee high challenge that didn't actually happen.
===================
what the fak are you talking about ?
you are arguing not me.
i didnt make a fakin argument, i said that venables should have calmed him down before that game.
in response to that you have claimed :
- he didnt need calming down
- his mental approach to the game was fine
- there was nothing wrong with his tackles in the game
- the 2nd tackle wasnt even a yellow
i have no idea why you have done this, but you have been totally wrong on all of your argumentative suggestions, as pointed out in the video i have linked in which gazza, mabbutt and the referee are interviewed.
your assessment of the players' mental approach to the game is about as accurate as one would expect from an 11 year old. which is why you should have just buttoned it, rather than making a complete tittt of yourself

Quite a few assumptions there JPB, but never mind...
You said earlier that venables ruined his career and life by not calming him down
=-----------------------------------------------
Eh ?
What assumptions are you talking about ?
And what's your point now about venables ? are you still saying that gazza didnt need calming down, in spite of the evidence provide by gary mabbutt and by the guy who reffed the game ?

"My point about venables was that you said he ruined gazza's career and life, who's is ridiculous."
El Tel. And now Mabbutt.
I daren't add Paul Allen to the list in case the conspiracy theorists kick off.

Got it. Weare WAS THERE that day.
Bring on the chicken !!!
My point about venables was that you said he ruined gazza's career and life, who's is ridiculous.
About as ridiculous as suggesting gazza should have been dropped in that final
========================
nothing i have said on this thread has been ridiculous.
you just havent read my comments or thought about them before replying.
i dont think there's any serious doubt that that game ruined gazza;s life, and to suggest that such a view is "ridiculous" is totally invalid.
i said i hold venables partly responsible for not calming him down, which is a perfectly viable point of view.
your counter arguments that gazza's frame of mind was fine, that his tackles in the game were fine and that he didnt need calming down have all been proved wrong, even though you seemed to find it hilarious that soneone could have a different point of view to your own erroneous assertions. ive got no idea why you even got involved in this thread tbh.
Gazza back off the wagon....
