"JPB made up a tackle, called gazza a mad man and blamed terry venables for ruining gazza's life, saying he should have dropped him for the cup final."

Slightly inaccurate.

1. Blamed Venables "a bit" .
2. Talked about Gazza making two-footed tackles in the FA Cup final

just to clarify 1 above, the point was that venebales should have calmed gazza down before the game.

I didnt make up a tackle that didnt exist. I stated that a tackle from 20 years ago was 2 footed, whereas it was actually 1 footed. That does not mean that my knowledge of the game is limited, it just means that the image of the tackle in my memory was slightly out.

Because you were fundamentally wrong in what we were actually discussing (whether someone needed to calm gazza down), you had to focus on the point about the 2nd tackle being 2 footed, and had to bring up my pre season comment about vertonghen, to try to change the focus of the discussion.

You were unwilling to admit that you had got it wrong so started saying that the referee was lieing, and that mabbutt's comment that someone needed to calm gazza down, didnt mean that someone needed to calm gazza down.

your comments are just a further attempt to refocus the conversation.

the conversation boils down to me and gary mabbutt and gazza and the referree saying he needed to calm down, and you saying he didnt need to calm down.

that's all it's about really.

So Fergie would have dealt with it better?

Tell me then, what the fúck was Fergie doing when he let Keane play against Haaland?
