People on here throwing too easily the word world class around.

The answer imo is: no but yes he has class.

he won player of the tourney at a youth world cup ahead of messi and ronaldo.

"Become" is the keyword here. I never insinuated he is that at the moment.
Though I don't think he's far away from that level.

He's around Suarez level. No there's an overhyped player if I ever saw one.

he must have developed early!

How so, Suso?

Don't tell me you're one of the guys who think Suarez is the second best striker in the Prem, and among the best 20 attacking players in the world, like your fellow Scousers?

He already is world class. Look at his stats.

He is 27 years old, if he was some teenage wonderkid, that would be different, but these are his best years, so no, he won't be world class, he won't ever be world class.

Wow Samir. I could swear RVP turned world class last season.
How do you know he won't go on a goal scoring run all of a sudden?

That isn't how football works Dubbed

Van Persie has always had world class ability, though. You could see that with his passing, vision, technical ability and the spectacular goals he scored. Unfortunately injuries are part of who he is and Wenger only gave him the lone central role after Adebayor left, so we never got to see him reach his true potential until his later years.

''How do you know he won't go on a goal scoring run all of a sudden?''

I don't know that for sure, but it just seems unlikely, as he is competing with some already world class players and the service to him isn't as good from our players. Not to mention, he isn't a player who can create something out of nothing like van Persie could. Also, Wenger seems to prefer him on the left hand side, so unless he gets moved centrally, I doubt we'll see how well he does up front.

What's that G? Look at his stats.

Lampard has great stats but he's not world class.

Twas all potential then. Suarez has gone on a little run this season, yet people all of a sudden class him as a 'world class' player, even though by ability he's not.

dubbed im not even going to argue with you, would be like headbutting a hippo

You won't "argue"? Is that because you know I'll rip you a new one, and you'll ask me to call you 'Sally' afterwards?
