Ah, no worries at all. We just wondered if our Bolton board had upsticks and would have felt bad knowing we had actively helped with it.
Pleased to hear your site is doing well and will keep in mind your offer.
There is always a degree of conflict of interests in as much as we, although being a cross team forum, have a very large % of users who mostly chat about their own club on their own board. But it has always been our view not to go too mod heavy when people mention other sites. Through there have been a few really shameful plugs for various forums over the past few years.
Dwindling contributors on a board such as the Bolton one is surely down to factors affecting the club itself, rather than any migration to other sites. Interest / input was always bound to dwindle once our relegation from the Prem was confirmed. Of course, if we'd set off like a bat outta hell in our campaign to get straight back up amongst the Elite ... you might not have noticed much difference, figure-wise.
But, having lurched from one disaster (ie. keeping Owen Coyle on, when many felt he should have gone months before relegation) to another (appointing an historically very average replacement, who' surely must be pinchin' himself at how big a gauranteed pay cheque he'll get every week, regardless of results) then it's of little surprise if numbers have fallen away. Our season is completely finished, and yet Xmas is hardly out of sight; we're stuck with an uninspired change of management for at least 10-12 months, with nothing much to look forward to (or discuss) barring the subject of ' Are we going down yet another division?? '
Folk generally spent their leisuretime on forums for personal enjoyment; to unwind. But there's nothing left to look forward to BWFC-wise ..at least not this season, so it shouldn't be a shock if many folk choose more enjoyable ways of whiling away their precious downtime right now
First of and Cravies - all the analysis of New Article creation rates and comment counts show that the highest activity on Bolton's 606 is when we are doing badly.
The current lull, is because the three historical big players aren't commenting. This is deliberate, but will change soon.
It has nothing to do with rival forums and nothing to do with apathy.
Every so often a break is needed to recharge the batteries, and now is a good time as most on here are willing to give DF a bit more time.
An huge increase in activity on here is just round the corner!!!!
I think DF is going to have a lot more time which includes all next season and rightfully so. There is no one missing who will post more. The reason for the lull is the genuine debate is limited. There is no debate about whether the manager is good enough as due to short time in charge it can't be justified. Most options with the old playing staff have been explored to which we have not improved so there is little left.
It has nothing to do with who posters are.

----------------------
Why??
DF's record over the last 10 matches is worse tan Coyles over the first ten matches this season.
If things don't improve in the next few weeks, the natives will get restless!!!! In fact, it is only on this forum that he is getting any slack. facebook, Nuts and twittter are proper slagging him off!!!
Oh believ me, it has everything thing to do with who posters are. Get Admin1 to do an extract from their db. It will tell you everything about who comments when and how often!!!

Sorry CEF misread your comment you weren't suggesting you wanted him gone. But it still applies to anyone who does!
Yes it is true that I supported Coyle longer than anyone else on here. We'll never know now whether he should have been given longer this season!!
DF has now got a fit CYL, Wheater and Holden coming back, his new signings and a rejuvinated Sordell.
He has no more excuses. Of course i am giving him time, like everyone else, but he needs to start delivering.
You can no longer blame Coyle. It has been 19 games in the league since he left. Most of out best and performing layers are Coyle signings. Of course we need to see DF's signings first, but until we do, my statement stands.

I am not blaming Coyle but stating the fact that after embedding 2 years of management it takes time to unpick that if it is as bad as coyle left it. Not sure who the players that coyle signed who are playing well. No one at Bolton Wanderers football club has played well this season. Some players have had the odd good game but Coyles signings have taken us into this league and down to 20th in this division.
You blame OC in every comment you make on every match thread. It's an easy cop-out!!!
You are re-writing history. Our worst two performing players this season weren't signed by OC. Our two best were!!
Well I have about 100 times on threads which you have commented on.
Instead of just throwing out soundbites, why don't you spend time researching the data before commenting???
Oh go on then, I'll save you the time:

That does not say who you think ae best two and worst two players are.
Best performing : Eagles and Sordell.
Worst performing : Knight and K Davies.
Clearly and all the stats prove it.
Knight is a coyle signing and SKD is our second highest scorer. You miss players who have had some very embarrassing games like Ream or Mesrs
Eagles has been good. Your basing the Sordell thing on 4 games.
Jeez Petrov - Zat Knight was signed before Coyle came to the club. Stp trying to re-write history.
And in terms of mins on pitch, KD's goals are appaling!!!
Who signed Knight to a two year contract?
Irrelevant - ZK was not brought to the club by OC. That is indesputable.
You continue to try and change history to suit your opinion. My opinion is based on actual data, provided by the Football League. No-one can dispute my figures as they are available to everyone who can be bothered to research them!!!
