Elneny has been good, but it is exaggerated by comparison to how bad Ramsey has been.

I think a lot of it is to do with combinations. Coq is limited in possession. He is terrific at seeing danger and cutting out counter attacks but ask him to start attacks and he is stumped, often dwelling on the ball that means defenders can close down the free player for the first time pass.

Ramsey is a typical give and go player. He runs with the ball very well but is way too interested in hollywood passing rather than keeping it simple.

So a Coq/Ramsey midfield means you can't retain possession. Wenger admitted it as much in the first game of the season when he began with the Ramsey out wide experiment and Coq/Santi partnership. The problem is that Santi can be bullied of the ball against big black fast holding players that most teams have these days.

Obviously Wilshere is ideal in the CM position passing as he showed against Barca when he was partnered with Song (who could pass by the way) if he wasn't so indisciplined. So a holding player who can start attacks makes it very easy to find anyone to partner him depending on the opposition, be it Ramsey or Wilshere or Santi.

Ramsey should go in the summer, not good enough on the right wing, should be nowhere near the middle.

Another waste of 100k a week

Personally wouldn't sell anyone 22-28 till a new manager takes over. You gut the team of players coming to the peak of their careers and you end up Man Utd mk 2!

Let the new man decide on his style and who he wants to keep. I would definitely get rid of everyone over 29.

Only club to have changed their manager after a 20+ year of one voice.

What is this obsession with getting rid of Santi?

Let's get rid of our best CM, and keep terrible CMs like Ramsey JUST BECAUSE HE'S YOUNGER

Yes. And thats the point. Where do you think the capitulation comes from? The lack of leadership. The most experienced players are supposed to be the winners who carry you to the title under pressure. And its those players who capitulated! Look at Monreal/Kos performance against West Ham under pressure or Giroud over the last 2 months when the pressure was on to win the title!

You can buy experience - no problem. But if you are changing the ethos of a club the fault lies with the players who have leadership roles in the dressing room. Thats the players over 29!

Would you rather have Ronaldo (31?) or Theo in the team.

Well, Theo is under 28 so it would have to be him. I'm sure a new manager would make him better than 31 year old Ronaldo

If you just throw a blanket over all old players and get rid, you end up with a disaster.

Players like Kos and Monreal need leaders playing alongside them - they are good enough to be in a winning team.
