Nah. I think AMN is going to get a chance at CM. Arteta wouldn't be calling one of the most technical players at the club otherwise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Potential options for next season:
Xhaka
Willock
Torreira
Guendouzi
New MF (Gueye?)
ESR?
AMN
He will not get much first-team action in midfield, in my opinion.
It does to Arteta. Which is why he bought Pablo Mari.

Expect Xhaka and Ozil to go tbh.
We then have two box-to-box. Gwen and Amn. One sitting right sided. Torreira. And the left footed Gueye sitting.
Willock and ESR are behind the striker. And looking at their age, I expect an interim creative MF. I wouldn't surprised if he have a go for a Brazilian.
ESR is actually identical to Paul Merson.

As much as I want to see Xhaka gone, I think his renewed status amongst Arsenal fans and Arteta mean it's very much feasible he could still be here next season.
I am hoping Ozil leaves, but his wages will, as we know, be a problem. Hopefully a club from the Middle East will come in for him. Still not a guarantee he'll facks off though.
Willock hasn't been deployed as a CAM, he's been making driving runs from deep. If that's where Arteta sees his future position, then I think that's a mistake. He will need to massively refine his game if he wants to be a #10.
We still need to get rid of Mkhitaryan too, by the way. £220k per week wages. Still can't get over the fact we rejected Roma's bid for him.

Anyone think Guen has a long term career at Arsenal?
I kinda think we'll sell him in the next couple of seasons tbh.

Emery blaming everyone at Arsenal as the reason it didn't work out for him here.
Everyone still at Arsenal loving the 'Teta.
Pete... in a ditch.

Willock played CAM against Bournemouth. In fact every time he has started under Arteta is as a replacement for Ozil.
Raul is replacing all the players on CL money slowly. Thats the only we get back to the CL. We need to have a max 2 or 3 on world class wages and the rest hungry to get back there. Its why we are going young for a complete rebuild. Xhaka did very well as a CB but he still the reason why we are so slow to transition the ball from defence to attack when he plays in midfield. Thats actually not changed. and the results show it. Thats not a good reflection on Arteta or anyone else. So the idea that fans are warming to Xhaka is a red herring. We are actually still very poor in CM.
