Listening to the Arsenal Vision podcast, talking about the move to the Emirates, and how the then board’s lack of funds basically facked us for a decade, mainly due - in the guest’s apparently informed opinion - to their unwillingness to bring another investor on board to help ease the burden.
IE. Due to their greed.
Custodians aren’t really meant to be in it for financial gain. Sold us all out. And for that piece of sh/t stadium too.

You must remember the war between Fisman and Dein at the time.
Of course. Dein did a lot of good things for the club, but he also caused a lot of damage too.
Probably let his ego get the better of him.
Dein wanted to out because he knew they could not support the playing side. The rest wanted a big pay day.
But bringing Kroenke and Usmanov to the table was very self serving of him. It was never going to end well for the club.
The big assumption was off course could Wenger spend money wisely?

They were all self serving. I forgive Dein because he was not very rich. Just a small time accountant. He was never going to turn down the sort of money on offer. Fiszman was extremely rich and the main shareholder. He had choices.
But looking back now would it make any difference? Wenger was never able to spend money wisely without Deins input.

Wow, Public Health England have told the Premier League that the public health situation is not expected to change for the next 6-12 months. Social distancing etc really is going to be the new normal.
Now if this comes to pass, we as a club are kinda f/cked.
Another branch of the podcast in question was pondering whether KSE, being as overstretched with all their franchises as they may be, might look to sell AFC if their finances keep taking the hits they currently are.
Not that I'd even trust them to sell us to the 'right' people, were it to come to it.

Think businesses will suffer due to social distancing measures, and many will go under. But football behind closed doors for the next year?!
Whoa.
^same goes for the entertainment industry as a whole.
Won't be many theatres, music venues, cinemas, bars etc left if this happens.
Still, there's always TikTok I guess
I don't think we are flecked as all that. The premier league has a lot of TV money. Course it means loses for every club but its one that billionaires who own the prem have to grin and bare. I think its perfect timing for internet season tickets. I don't see kse throwing away 2bn club over 100m in losses.
However koreans seem to be allowing small groups social gathering. especially if their latest breakthrough is confirmed with immunity passports. If we get numbers down that low as the new Oxford model is predicting by July. It'll be bad but survivable.
