Emery's issue was the language barrier. Players took the piiss out of him behind his back. He would have developed the culture side given a bit more time. His man management was ok, tbh.

Tuchel is a lot more eloquent with his language skill. His man management is excellent. You have to be to stick around with the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, Thiago, and co.

Arsenal players took the p!ss out of Wenger as well. However if the ideas are working it does not matter.

Eloquence means very little without the knowledge to underpin it as Arteta has shown.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you explain how well Emery is doing this season then? I mean, after he left Arsenal, there were stories that he’s not even a very good communicator in his native tongue.

Less expectation is all I can think.

That and lesss to deal with in the dressing room.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Less pressure. Less expectation. Players buying into what he is saying rather than the need for ego massaging required at big clubs.

Whats the difference between Moyes and Arteta? None. If you want to turn us into a mid-table club with mid-table players with mid-table expectations.

Whats the last straw for you Lex?

Not quite there yet. However the line up against City was very damaging to my confidence in him - despite it not being that surprising in the end.

I have been saying it for years. The manager should be the biggest personality at the club. He has to be ambitious and experienced. You can't learn on the job at a big club. Its a recipe for disaster and we heading for one as a club unless we make the change quick.

I listen to a few. Could be any one of them you’re talking about tbh.

How would you guys feel about Benitez being appointed?

posted on 24/12/20

Benitez plays the same brand as Arteta and Emery did

He's a better manager than both but not my first choice if Arteta goes

posted on 24/12/20

I’m a week behind with the Tuesday Club podcast (presuming you’re talking about Alan Davies?).

Not surprised if he’s gone full Arteta Out πŸ˜•

posted on 24/12/20

He's not at rant levels yet but yeah he's got no confidence in Mikel turning it around anymore

This was recorded before the city game aswell

Did make me laugh when you were talking about extra costs in trade now yesterday

Wtf does Jonathan Creek know about trade and logistics ffs

"How would you guys feel about Benitez being appointed?"

Would rather look at other options, if i'm honest. Feel Benitez has spent far too long outside European football and perhaps has lost that managerial sharepness. Also feel he's now a spent force.

If we lost to West Brom it's Rafa time

Thread on Reddit...

Lad does a rent post about irresponsible people seeing family at Christmas... Someone checks his post history and 2 days before he's offering no strings attached blowies to men in Toronto

Wow

Don't be so sure. Out of work actors have fingers in many pies.

Lex fingers stink or "pie"

Why do Arteta fans link us to has-beens like Rafa?

posted on 24/12/20

Who are you talking about?

posted on 24/12/20

Its no one in particular. Rafa's name just keeps on cropping up all over the place as some sort of bogeyman that the club will appoint if we were to fire Arteta.

posted on 24/12/20

Horses of courses tbh, J99.

He knows the league, seems to have the respect of players, knows how to set up poor squads to play to the best of their abilities.

Think his name is being mentioned because that’s where a lot of fans feel we are at the moment.

Anyone expecting a retrospective ban for Cavani?

This is atypical of media downgrading Arsenal. Arteta has systematically blamed the players to the point they have no confidence. So now any has-been can manage us? If WBA hadn't hired Allardyce Arsenal would be encouraged to hire him.

ffs. We need to spend on Allegri and be done with it.

posted on 24/12/20

Actually its interesting that PSG weren't linked to Allegri.

Is he already going somewhere else? πŸ€”
