'The deal is better than no deal.'
Of course.
Better still would've been remaining part of the EU.

Honestly mate, I'm genuinely not winding you up.
The cost of the software alone for companies alone, whilst being subsided in the first 12 months (another hidden cost to the UK economy they don't want you to find out about) will see companies forced to pass that on to the customer (you and I).
And if companies outsource that work, there will still be an extra layer of admin, that many companies won't be able to deal with in their current structures, meaning extra staff = extra cost = price increases.
Then there's the licences needed for each different port products pass through - which will differ depending on which country the goods are being manufactured in.
It goes on and on...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't doubt it at all. I am all to aware of bureaucratic mire we are in. I think you need to be arguing with those who wanted brexit despite the opportunity to stop it last year. Our last chance. And I am incredulous why Labour still allowed it to happen.
But don't get me wrong its all the cons fault. Cameron, May, Bojo and their backbenches. But its done now.
So lets see if they manage the US free trade deal next.

I've had to advice companies to hedge. Thats the reality of things.
I am not sure what both of you arguing against?
The deal is better than no deal. Thats all I have said. Would it be better to be still in EU. Yes. But its not as simple as Gt makes out because there are a lot of huge economic shocks coming in the EU next year.
And it is not at all sure how Biden with deal with all the mess left behind Trump.

You really think I am naive, J99?
I know it's not all rosy and the future even in the EU wont be easy. People suffer. But I prefer remain united and compromise than being left at the fence alone.
