He did not whip the vote which is why Starmer spoke out against him. Don't try to rewrite history. The Second Ref Campaign were shafted by Corbyn. He wanted an election and took the bait from a clown.

But you are free now Pete
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are now free to bailout Italy to your heart's desire. Starting March next year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Together we are stronger
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope the voters from eastern part of Germany agree with you. I fear the rise of the right in France and Italy more. But Germany is up there. After Covid its going to be very very hard.
At least they aren't imposing economic sanctions on themselves

Where did Keir Starmer stand on Brexit in 2016 though?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit pointless no? I was for brexit when TTIP was close and then against it when it wasn't.
We have something now which is better than the catastrophic WTO rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really that pointless at all tbh.
You said he's 'right behind the deal' but, as Crouch pointed out, he was Remain.
Bit like asking him which side of he toast he'd prefer you to spread a dogturd on really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was remain but is behind a deal now. It is pointless because what someone was in the past does not reflect the reality of the situation now. Starmer is not advocating re-entering the EU is he?

What are you talking about? All countries are going to find it hard. But it is harder when you have to persuade ppl that even while they will be suffering they also have to send money to other European countries. It almost broke the EU after the Euro crisis. And Italy are already fuming at the lack of solidarity fighting Covid.

Yes, but people WILL end up s(p)ending money to other countries, given the extra cost of importing goods is about to be passed on to the general public.
