EXCLUSIVE: Barcelona + Juventus make official approaches to sign Aubameyang on loan until summer. Unclear what Arsenal will do - talks ongoing with both. If #AFC grant exit, destination likely to be influenced by Morata

Thought Vlahovic was a done deal.

Barca and Juventus believed to harbour no concerns about Aubameyang’s professionalism, having both conducted background checks. [

So they don't need Aubameyang?

Auba starts and Vlahovic sits on the bench. irony at its best.

I think it's more likely Auba will go to Barca. His playing style fit them better and they likely be losing Dembele

What does it say about the 'hierarchy's' faith in Arteta if we don't sign a replacement even after Auba's departure?

That they expect him to get top 4 even though they've massively hamstrung him.

Or that incoming striker may end up in the same tough spot as the departing one?

What other point can there be to suddenly stop backing someone after already spending £150m in the summer on his say so?

Because the 'hierarchy' is incompetent?

It'd be utterly stupid to let Auba go without a replacement. Surely no one can agree nor defend this.

It sounds like j99 has his scapegoat ready though, IAWT.

Would be madness not get in a replacement for Auba.

posted on 28/1/22

And its all so unnecessary. It could have been handled so differently. I agree that there was little choice but to replace Auba as captain but a more experienced manager would have made sure that the replacement was ready in the wings before burning all bridges.

The same people gave Arteta a blank cheque book last summer. So do you hate them now or did you hate them last summer?

We obviously wanted vlahovic. The 'hierarchy' couldn't convince him though.

Let's see what the 'hierarchy' has in store before the end of the window.

I suspect it will be an emergency loan for Jovic or something along those lines.

Incompetent then, as I said.
