The fact that we put in 20 plus crosses a game via Tierney to 5ft 6 striker in the box suggest he may want a striker that has some areal capability
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Teams let us cross because it means they'll an easy turnover of play. Our 20 crosses a game is more a sign of Arteta's failure to instill much in the way of noteworthy attacking play rather than a plan missing a vital cog.
If it was dangerous the opposition would bother to stop it
When was the last time a team won the league using the target man tactics? 1992 Leeds? Lee Chapman?

Chelsea, Diego Costa?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think Diego Costa or Drogba were true target men tbf. They both dropped deep into midfield and linked play like Kane and I suppose Vlahovic would have done. I don't remember Chelsea launching long balls at either of them. Even Chelsea's famous win at Barca was balls that Drogba chased rather then anything aimed at his head.
I bet Arteta's ideal signing would be Adebayor.

Ade also had a prime cesc fabregas creating a million chances a game for him.

The best striker we had during cesc's era was a sicknote van persie, and the best striker we had during ozils era was giroud
Patrik Schick is closest to RVP today.

One of the big club will make an offer that Edu won't be able to resist.
His track record for selling players is awful so I'd imagine an decent offer come, he won't be able to resist. Especially for a player who never kick a ball for us.
Or he might stay and use all his experience he's gained to start for us
