Yeah, I'd look to replace Partey outright, keep Xhaka as a start and bring in another CM with the intention of phasing him out through the season.

We'll need Xhaka's experience and leadership now

Surely legally though, you can't terminate a contract without a guilty verdict. Unless you mean just pay it out in full and release him

I don't see it that way. Our MF didn't function last season. Keep in mind the only reason Xhaka fitted better was playing further forward of Partey.

You are not going to find a beast like Partey quickly.

I think its easier to go with two good all round midfield players are build around that.

Depends on his contract. It should be more than enough to be arrested for multiple rapes on a reasonably well drawn contract.

We are not selling Xhaka the same time as replacing Partey, it just won't happen.

give xhaka a lifetime contract and get it over with. the guy is the Teflon Don. he will never leave

Look at the players we are being linked to. I don't see a direct replacement for Partey. The club must have know this is coming for a while.

Agree with this. We need some continuity in the middle.

Personally I wouldn't go for Tielemens now as I can't see him working alongside Xhaka.

I definitely get where you're coming from but still imagine legally it wouldn't work.

Guess they could have a clause that stops/back dates pay to an arrest date if the player is later found guilty. No idea how that would really work though, whether you can recover money already paid for instance (assume not)

If it is Xhaka and he’s found guilty can’t we just sue him? Remember Chelsea successfully sued Mutu for like £20M or something because he was done for being a cokehead

Just make Xhaka manager now and rename the club Xhaka FC
