Time the club got ahead of this and terminated his employment.

Go and buy two decent midfield players. Sell Xhaka and start anew.

Yeah, I'd look to replace Partey outright, keep Xhaka as a start and bring in another CM with the intention of phasing him out through the season.

Agree with this. We need some continuity in the middle.

Personally I wouldn't go for Tielemens now as I can't see him working alongside Xhaka.

If it is Xhaka and he’s found guilty can’t we just sue him? Remember Chelsea successfully sued Mutu for like £20M or something because he was done for being a cokehead

Was gonna mention that, there must be some facility to sue if a players criminal actions destroy the value of a club asset (a player).

Also suing Xhaka just for ruining our team for years would be completely fair

Multiple accusations. No getting out of this. He has bought the club into disrepute. You really don't have to wait till its proven. The bad publicity alone should be enough if the club did their job drawing up his contract.

Depends on his contract. It should be more than enough to be arrested for multiple rapes on a reasonably well drawn contract.

I definitely get where you're coming from but still imagine legally it wouldn't work.

Guess they could have a clause that stops/back dates pay to an arrest date if the player is later found guilty. No idea how that would really work though, whether you can recover money already paid for instance (assume not)

All of us hope it's not him. But the reports today have done nothing to alleviate any fears we have. Club haven't denied it yet. And if Partey was on tour with the others in Germany, he would have been pictured. The club aren't oblivious to what's going on in social media.

I'd be astonished if it wasn't him at this point.

It’s clearly him. The guys a POS. Won’t be surprised if more allegations come out. The 2nd victim was raaped as far back as more than a year ago. That’s a pretty big gap to fill for other potential victims

So would we be better off with someone that might not be quite as good (yet) but be less injury prone, and more reliable?
