Arteta is the one talking about culture, you're assuming this insta post is true and she went to the club but not the police
Or she did both and the police chose to do nothing at the time but the club were supposed to?

Apparently the girl from last year on her Instagram around Sept 2021. No idea of the truth of it though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow shocking if true. Looks very bad on Arsenal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you actually think she went to the club but not the police?
Say that's exactly what happened for whatever reason... What do you think the club should have done?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To find excuses for him isnt the right way for sure.
Details will come out but really the club can only work on something concrete... Like they have once he's been charged

He won't until he's proven innocent

Disagree. You can't let it go until the police investigated. And if the rumours are too there was another incident after the first. So that should be the latest Arsenal should have done something.
What should they have done?
Not play him and try to clarify the issue internal.

I mean given what's happened now, there's a chance they were investigating the whole time and have now found enough evidence to make an arrest and formally question.
There is but given they arrested Partey on Monday after an allegation on Sunday the 2021 allegation was clearly deemed less credible by the police (if they were told at all)

Thats some serious conspiracy and quite illogical imo. If they knew surely they would have tried to sell and recoup money. (forget the decent thing and fire him, I know that doesn't happen when he is worth multi-millions)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah doubt they could've sold and recouped money in that situation. The club would've been blacklisted by all other clubs if it started acting like that! (unless the potential buyer was made aware of what was going on in which case no one would buy him)
You'd have to assume with the money in football that buying clubs would be all over stuff like police investigations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was not charged or even investigated so how would anyone know?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What kind of investigation would the club even be able to do?
"Thomas did you do something awful?"
"No"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was referring to being blacklisted by other clubs. Arsenal would be selling in good faith. So how could they be blamed?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why would we sell if we didn't suspect something though, maybe I misunderstood?
But if Arsenal knew about issues they dealed not in the right way with it. In these times in an invironment with social media and media in general you can't just ignore it and wait until the police make the first move.

So if I tell Spurs Kane and Son raped me Spurs should suspend both of them until they can prove their innocence?
Honestly when they're allegations it's really tough for the club to deal with, almost screwed no matter what they do

Yeah, duty of care to the employee and club reputation/squad moral to protect while also balancing what's morally right and not doing anything that could be seen to compromise the investigation and eventual court case
Women don't just accuse men of rape and two different women accusing the same bloke only happens when they're guilty
Just hope the police wrap it up quickly so we can cancel his contract and move on
Has it actually been confirmed it's him btw?

It's quite common for women to accuse men of rape unjustly, unfortunately.
It's also quite common for women to be raped tho
About 1 in 20 are deemed false
There's a much bigger problem of men who commit rape and of authorities failing to charge/prove it
Not been able to follow developments today - have there been any?
Just wondering if, after his decision to ‘commit to one woman’ and change his religion, any chance this could be a case of two of his former bits on the side getting a bit of revenge on him?
Long shot, but just occurred to me today. He might be being set up.
Still a pr!ck though, even were that the case.
