Arteta was moaning about Elneny so I assume they want to sort out that position first.
Trossard (who has can do Xhaka's role in 'Peps' formation and when Arteta wants to counter attack with two sitting he has Sambi.
Xhaka 21/22 season - 32 tackles, 21 interceptions.
Trossard 21/22 season - 34 tackles, 24 interceptions.
Trossard is two footed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trossard is such an intelligent signing, tbh. Can play multiple positions.
That's why I'm, not convinced he was the alternative to Mudryk, but rather we jumped in when BHA were accepting his sale.
Rashford has not signed an extension. Just saying. Its not a ffp situation that will sort itself after we qualify for CL, like Saka/Saliba/Martinelli at Arsenal.

Yeah was discussing this yesterday. Whether Edu/Arteta are sure of Martinelli's future role. (or whether he has one). Trossard can easily fit in the press position that Xhaka presently occupies.

Also Tu:
"From my perspective, I wanted arteta gone during that horrendous run of form we had where we were losing every week and barely sustaining a single decent attack per game. I believed the owners wouldn't back him with the players he needed to implement his style. So what was the point?"

I don't think Bellingham fits our style tbh. He doesn't really have the attacking stats that we'd need for a box/press midfielder and he is not a CM/DM in my opinion. Not surprised Real Madrid really like him in a typical Italian 'tuttocampista' role.
Vieira oh Viera oh he comes from Senegal plays for arsenal.
Better?
For saying Bellingham reminds me of Vieira?

Where would you play him? In the Press/Box midfield or replacing Partey?
don't think we'll get him by the way, but he'd slot in nicely next to Partey I'd say
The thing is he'd need to double his assists/goals record for that role. Compare him to De Bruyne. Its always 20+ assists/goals every season. But he's hardly ever required to run back and defend counter attacks or sit deep.
Not surprised Bellingham is not linked to Man City.
More with Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Bellingham = MF Sancho. Will end up at West Brom in 4 years time
"The thing is he'd need to double his assists/goals record for that role."
Why? Dortmund play him quite far forward but you see for England he can play CM brilliantly.

I always thought from what I saw on Sancho he was a tidy little winger but nothing incredible, which shows, but Bellingham really is top class
