They may have agreed if we asked them earlier?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember at the time they were negotiating with Chelsea and Boehly eventually said Brighton want too much money. Which is why they have paid the extra £20m/£30m and gone back for their main target Fernandez.
Trossard, Odegaard, Jesus, Zinny. All players their clubs were happy to let go. Not exactly a difficult job for edu.
But players in which their clubs were reluctant to let go, you need a shrewd head. Nah, Edu ain't that guy.

Do you reckon there's a twist to this transfer saga?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Up to Caicedo.
Do you think Brighton will give him the wages we have promised to keep him happy?

That's why I'm asking. Caicedo is paid pennies. If Arsenal are willing to x50 his wages, Caicedo is well within his rights to ask Brighton for a substantial payrise.
When you look at the current market those signings are a steal, especially given their performances
I don't think he's a particularly shrewd negotiator and it's frustrating to pursue a player and not get them but we already bid way over the value for both Caicedo and Mudryk, market is being facked by the likes of Chelsea and Utd

Complete different situation. Lissabon want them to pay the release clause. Chelsea wasnt ready to do it.
Chelsea now came back to pay the demanded price.
We havent contacted Brighton for Caicedo three days ago.

Tony Bloom is playing his usual poker game. I think we'll know tomorrow if he folds. No point keeping players against their wishes.
I wonder at what point we get bored and get our plan B. Whoever that is.
I don't think Arsenal take the same gamble they did last season that lost the top 4. And the scare with his ribs was a timely reminder.
Think though Arsenal would stay away if Brighton gave no indication they would be tempted to sell Caicedo.
They could say fack off Arsenal. He isnt for sale at any price.
So what’s the issue with Tielemans? Better option than an ageing Jorginho no?
Would Leicester sell him in their situation? Read also that the player wants to stay until the summer and run out his contract.

Can he even do the role that Partey does?
They wouldn't be able to replace him adequately this late in the window and selling him without that would surely see them go down
Tielemans isn't good enough anyway
Caicedo has to act like a caaaant to force this move through. Threaten to not train, or be available for games.
A killer technical director would advise this.

Jorginho is very clever at taking the ball from the defence and beating the press.

None of the players we are linked to can do what Partey does. At this moment is more damage limitations
Window enda tomorrow and we still don't have cover for Partey. Edu needs to get the sack. Everyone at the club is doing their job and he's facked it all up.
Me, Tu, Samir and GT gotta get the prayer beads out and pull an all nighter praying Partey stays fit the remainder of the season. I ain't happy.

Caicedo has been doing exactly what Partey does for Brighton. I think the reason why we are so hot on him is because he can also do what Xhaka does and so him as an ideal player to partner Declan Rice for the future.
