Yeah a few can play DM. Kiwior, White, even Zinchenko does a decent enough job.

We are talking scrapping the barrel, but like I said on another thread, if we lose Partey and/or Xhaka (especially Partey) for any significant length of time, title dreams are over anyway, Caicedo or not

Anyway, Caicedo is for the future. Next season Xhaka is 31 and Partey is 30. Caicedo and Rice are earmarked for replacements.

Yes. But you could do it in the summer when there will be more sure things available. Which will reduce the price. Just that UEFA will change the ffp rules. We already have the stadium so its not like we have to panic over that like Chelsea.

But we're a much better, more balanced team now.

God I'd rather pay 100m for caicedo though.

Chelsea will know we are desperate for a midfielder and try to rip us apart over Jorginho. He wont get any game at Chelsea anymore. Why would he be good enough for us?

Jorginho wouldn’t be cheap in terms of wages and signing fee. Take that money and put it on top of what we are planning to pay West Ham for Rice in the summer and get him now.

He probably isn't, GT. But I guess people at the club view him as an extra body in midfield who can cover where necessary and won't be expecting to start every week assuming we don't get the Caicedo deal done.

Like I said, I am hoping we don't go for him, but if Elneny is out long-term and our only backup is Lokonga (who Arteta doesn't rate anyway), then it may have to be a necessary evil.
