Watching the 2nd half again, Sambi wasn't THAT bad. Had a few good touches and was neat on the ball. His defensive positional play was poor though. Nothing that Arteta can't slap into him.

It's a mental thing with Sambi, he doesn't seem to have the drive or hunger to just go for it.
What does annoys me about him is when they lose the ball and he's just jogging instead of hounding the ball.
Apparently after the game all the players went to thank the away fans and he went straight down the tunnel, a lot of fans were annoyed with that.
If you felt you didn't play well, acknowledge the fans at least before you go

Nah, I think he knew he had a poor game and was annoyed at that. It's fine having a few poor games, but if you seriously want to break into the first team you need to show the coach you're better than the bloke you want to replace, and at the moment Sambi isn't a shade on Xhaka or Partey.
TBH, I don't really mind not getting a midfielder in. There isn't a player in the league that can replace Partey. If he's out for any lengthy period then Caicedo or not, title charge is over.
A lot of the fans are caants, so don't blame him for ignoring them.

The away fans are great but if they really get annoyed because a single player who just drop a 4/10 performance didn't acknowledge their existence, then that it is a fekin prima Donna attitude. They don't know what is going on inside that player's head. It is not like the full team ignored them.
