Got a feeling we will lose 3-1 v spurs.

They have been very unlucky in their games with the amount of chances they have created

We don't look great this season so far and with the ijuries, I just think this will be the game they convert their chances

It could go either way. We will miss Rice more than Ode in this game imo. Partey is going to be a massive liability. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arteta mixed things up and went with 3 at the back
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup. We must win the midfield battle.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Mikel Arteta agrees new three-year contract as Arsenal manager. 42yo Spaniard was into final 12 months of previous deal but any uncertainty now removed - fresh terms run until 2027. Huge boost for #AFC before north London derby

I think Arteta didn't sign his contract due to the TW this year, He obviously wasn't given the targets he wanted and doubts he could win the league, so he will maybe leave at the end of this year.

It's really frustrating that we were so close but didn't do what we needed to do to close and surpass that gap.

I still think we will win on Sunday though

If it runs until 2027 is it not a 2 year extension?

Arteta's contract was finishing end 2024. I assume it will now end 2027.

You must not be a genius to work out that Arteta would sign a new contract at Arsenal otherwise all the transformation work under him would be worthless.

posted on 12/9/24

There was uncertainty because Pep's contract finishes at the end of this season, and he doesn't want to manage in the Championship.

It wasn't finishing in 3 months FFS

I think it's a new 3 year contract that starts this season to run until the end of 26/27

Arteta is an Arsenal man through and through.

Arsenal is a bigger challenge than building on an already overloaded winning team.

That was always the weird bit on his first contract. If you were to take it literally it will end 2027. So if its end of 26/27 season ie July 2027 as you suggest, a 3 year contract would start july 2024. So was he managing the last 2 months without a contract? I think Arsenal give 6 months extra to negotiate a new one and his present contract was ending 2024 ie till Jan 2025.

Publishing the extention of Arteta is good ahead of the NLD for the whole Arsenal community.

OR

The new contract starts now and Ornstein thought it would be ok to say 3 years instead of 2 years, 9 months and X days

Companies always give extra time to negotiate new deals. It limits how much gardening leave a business has to give if they decide to move on.

Appointing a guy who had never managed a single game looked mad - the best ideas usually are.

Arteta is now a major figure in AFC history. New contract taking him up to 8 years. Amazing, really.

An article on a new longevity manager. #AFC
