He hadnt a protective boot on. That would have worried me even more. That he needed crutches is normal and precautious when you dont know the exact injury.

It`s a nice kit btw but why were werent allowed to have our red shirt is laughable as there is no colour clash whatsoever with Spurs` home shirt.

It was how the white transitions into the shorts and the PGMOL wouldn't let us wear red shorts

Potentially 3+ weeks for Ødegaard according to the Norwegian team Doctor is a twatter rumour

posted on 11/9/24

There doesn't appear to be a fracture in Martin Ødegaard's ankle, but Norway's Nations League matches in October are in jeopardy.

"Such ankle injuries often take a minimum of three weeks. Anything sooner than that is just a bonus. And it could take longer," says the national team's doctor, Ola Sand, to VG.

This means that Martin Ødegaard is unavailable for Arsenal's London derby against Tottenham on Sunday. Next week's Champions League opener is also off the table. He may also miss Arsenal's big game against Manchester City on September 22.

Martin Ødegaard was examined in London on Tuesday after a flight from Norway.

"Both Ståle and I know that the national team gathering is hanging by a thread. It's not completely ruled out. But we have to wait and see both what the MRI images show and how quickly he responds to treatment," reports national team doctor Sand.

"Ankle injuries are very painful right away. For Martin, it was extremely painful. He was very concerned."

"They are studying the MRI images now and have sent them for further review. There's no suspicion of a fracture. If there were a fracture, we'd be talking about being out of matches for six weeks or more."

This aligns with the examinations conducted by Norway's medical team. Ødegaard was clinically examined and given an ultrasound immediately after the severe sprain against Austria on Monday.

"What we’ve received from the MRI scan in London so far is that it’s probably not a fracture in the ankle," says Ola Sand.
