Rosicky has only been linked because he is the DoF of Sparta Prague. But they operate in a completely different market.

Arteta will have to work with the next man, so I am sure they will run it by him. But I don't see how much more he can influence the selection? Arteta is not Wenger. Wenger was already buying players alongside Dein.

Not sure why he will be my nightmare. I think he is a useless academy director. Arteta doesn't play any of his youth players so either he thinks Mert is poor at producing talent (Arteta said something along those lines a few years ago) or he does not listen to Mert's recommendations. That will make a great partnership.

Just look at how much talent they have acquired for the amount they have spent in recent years. They have really built a solid academy.

And I also feel that Arteta is likely to listen to someone like Txiki rather than over ruling a lesser name.
