City's signings are pretty iffy I'd say, they can just afford to shelve them if they dont work out (Phillips, Nunes, even Grealish they got one good season and now he's a backup option)

Director of football is responsible for all players coming into the club. Both at youth level and senior level. He is also responisble for contract renewals.
