Who said we don't need one, Al? All I'm saying is we won't sign one. Wenger doesn't believe in the bruiser type DM, otherwise we would of signed Diame in a flash last Jan

Good Morning. Thankfully the transfer window is closed now.

My view. Over the moon with Özil who we got by accident.

I said Giroud isnt our main problem for some reason. After the transfer window is closed he is our main problem.

Wenger at it again. Not doing enough to strengthen in depths.

Flamini is a decent player. I had doubts on his ability, but he proved he is still sharpe. He's a tough tackler, a leader and now has experience. Italian experience.

My only concern is if Giroud breaks his leg tomorrow, we are f cked. No way round it.

Theo I don't think suits through the middle, too lightweight, not intelligent enough with his movement.

Pod the same really.

What I would say about both in mitigation, is that CF takes some time to learn. I remember Henry playing up there the first few times, absolutely shocking. So maybe after playing 4 or 5 games there, Pod will do a better job

Eh? Since when?

Reports in Spain. On Sat apparently thats why Wenger still had an eye on Benzema. And Benzema's cards are marked after Ancelotti called him lazy after the match on Sunday.

Same Serial. Proved me wrong. Loved flying at the Spu'ds and was commanding when he came on.

Would rather start Flamini over Wilshere to be honest

Come on Chris. If United, Chelsea and City lost RVP, Eto'o and Aguero, respectively, they would be fecked too.

My point is, we have options available. Not ideal, i agree. Some re-jigging is required, but it's not disaster. The Ozil signing can help us out if Wenger is tactically flexible.

Serial, disappointed in your lack of faith on Flamini, thought your knowledge was better than that.

He had a cracking second half of last season, really important for Milan.

That's wrong J99. We had an interest in Benzema that is for sure. We give up early on him as RM didnt want to sell him and as it looks gave up on Suarez after signing Bale.

United could use Hernandez or Rooney. That's decent backup.

Chelsea I agree with, but Ba and Torres aren't the worst in the world - well Ba isn't.

City? They have Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Negredo. Stuffed with options.

I know Chris. I thought he might have lost a bit of physical edge, but i was epically wrong.

The ONLY reason the Flamini signing was looked upon as a poor signing was because of his past and his price tag. He is quality and a versatile player. All this call for a CB is now irrelevant with Flamini. He can cover both fullbacks, meaning Sagna can cover CB.

We are not competing for the title this year. I think we can agree on that.

We am quite sure we won't play a CM pairiing of Wilshere and Ramsey.

The funny thing about Flamini, is that if we had signed him for £15m the fans would have been delighted, once they got over him being a traitor.

No, I disagree at the moment. I think we might compete for it.

Spurs, and in the past Liverpool, have shown that you don't become a top class team by spending £100m+ in one go. Players need time to adapt and get used to the new system and players.

I've been lambasting Wenger all summer, and rightly so, but he's got a few key points correct. A DM that has experience of the league and the team (Flamini) and a World Class player that is so good he can instantly adjust to the new team (Ozil).

One last thing on that problem.

We put extra pressure on him this year as we did last year, we tired him out and he has no competition for his place. That makes slightly shuckle.

Still think we need a Striker and a Winger personally.

Di Maria would of done nicely

Well Liverpool might of spent £100m, but what they got in Carroll, Henderson, Downing was actually worth a tenth of that

Wenger wants a fluid midfield. Arteta is not too far away from fitness after the International break.

The only time Wenger used to play holding players was when we played a two man midfield. Wenger has NEVER played a holding player in a 3 man midfield. That includes Song. This is why Song was so unfairly criticized for going forward because it was by design.

Flamini is a bit of a god-send. He knows our system, and is not a holding player as such. He is very much like Song but better. Song was supposed to develop into a Flamini but never did. And he is still 29 and whats more has not had the number of games in Italy that will tire him.

So against tough opposition or after going ahead Flamini is ideal! Wenger is far more pragmatic now and is building around a counter attack. Ozil/Cazorla are perfect for that!
