Here it is....
I do wonder... about the lengths of the contract.
Wenger and a new contract
It's on Metro as well. Either way, it will be confirmed or dismissed in an hour or so.
Does the potential contract signing being made public at this time make any sense?
Seems as though his job was on the line after the Villa match....then within a couple of months the new contract talk is back. Why not wait til January, let everyone focus on this season before worrying about next.

I think even himself wants to wait and see what the season will bring. He is probably like most of us and wondering if the Özil deal was just an one-off or is the club is willing to spend more on WC players.

That is exactly what I am thinking too. I thought there is no hurry in there. Arsenal wants Wenger to stay and Wenger also said that he loves Arsenal.
Makes PR sense Dot. Hours before the AGM, release the news in the midst of a rosy atmosphere. Not a lot will complain. They'll realise that Wenger still attracts players like Ozil. If reports are true, Ozil himself wanted assurances of Wenger's future, so why delay the inevitable?
Yeah but then again IAWT. Why only a 2 years contract?

Makes sense. Covers the short term, rids possible tapping up by PSG.

But in the past both parties talked over a longterm bound.

What's the pic GT ?

Its a comparison between us and Bayern Munich
If top players coming in want assurances on Wenger's future then i'm more than happy for him to get a new deal.

Well it means 3 more years of Wenger. This year and the 2 added. Club/Wenger doesn't want to give the impression it rewards lack of success.

Exactly. He was always going to sign a contract extension, and performance has nothing to do with it. Players want assurances over the manager, mood is good, so club have jumped on it and offered a new deal.
Great pic there gt. Arsenal won't change their ticket prices that low however mainly due to the fact we're based in London.
