I seem to remember reading somewhere that United were booed off in 2005, can't remember where but anyway...

United fans have a history (along with most other clubs) of booing their players/team...just a quick google search reveals evidence/articles etc of United fans booing Anderson/Rio/rooney/the team against Sunderland in 2010 etc etc etc

So, whilst you may be correct about 2005, which is debatable, your argument tends to become rather diluted given the sheer weight of evidence that suggest there are fickle United fans who clearly have booed the team in the past!

didn't mention any other time did I billybob....and Rio was booed for contract stalling not his play. All fans boo as there are some real idiots in all clubs, but United tend to have a past betterthan most when supporting their team. I know you don't like it being a total ABU, but it's a fact. All fans whinge but in teh 70's and 80's United fans had a dreadful time and moaned at times, but boy they stuck by the team as the Att clearly shows!

by the way sunderland???? eh what? Sorry I would like some evidence as you put it! I mean, anything United and you're right on these boards like the old days...sad really!

I can honestly say I've never heard a Chelsea player being booed or jeered for his performances in my time as a supporter, I would personally be ashamed which is why it's been disappointing to see Giggs and Eboue booed off in recent years.

2005 and 2006 were not good times for United, they had a poor squad with two or three quality players but were not even a patch on Chelsea or even Arsenal, plus Liverpool were winning trophies as well to further rub salt in the wound.

Chelsea have been booed off, as have United, as have Arsenal, Liverpool, Wolves etc, With the money fans are paying for tickets these days rightly or wrongly they feel entitled to express their views.

Giigs was booed off in 2003.....they won the title! But good acticle after that......moaning isn't booing by the way!

Giggs was vociferously booed, he wasn't moaned at. You must be in serious denial if you think otherwise. Scary thing is, it wasn't just a select few it was a large proportion.

The only time I have heard any booing is at an individual player. For example Rio got some stick from a minority of fans during his protracted contract negotiations. And there were also a few idiots (and I do mean a few) that gave Giggs some stick a few years back when he was out of form. But they were shouted down by other supporters.
