Fair play. Didi is my favourite ex-pro on Twitter. He's just honest like you say.
I was surprised at Keano's rant to be honest. But working with Chiles, Southgate, Townsend and Co must go to your head!
I seem to have got rid of TOOR after asking him to explain why he thought RVP was offside for United's goal last night.
I dont think it was a rant..that suggests he was out of control etc...
he just said what he thought...
Should you always be in control though? As far as Nani was concerned, he was trying to control a ball that was slightly high for him. He didn't see Arbeloa until point of collision.
Had Arbeloa not been there or even made contact, there would be no problem. Like I said if Johnson had closed down Ibrahimovic and taken a knock, we'd be deprived of a wonder goal and baffled by a ridiculous red card decision!
In my opinion, Arbeloa took the risk, he decided from many metres away that he could win that ball if he went full pace. A challenge at full pace when a decision is made that far away is always a risk.
from one angle it looks a terrible decision, from another you can see why a ref (without multiple camera angles) could give it
wasn't a red
Of course the catastrophic list of wrong decisions given against us when we played Chelsea a few years back which handed them the title are probably the most costly we've faced until last night.

What decisions are these? Macheda cough cough

I'm not talking about the OT game Oscar. That game was evened out with Macheda's handball goal and the Chelsea offside goal.
I'm talking about SB. First half, Rooney ruled wrongly offside when one on one with Cech.
Second half, a foul given against Fletcher (when he won the ball and made no contact with Cole), the resulting free kick put in for Terry to head in while Drogba was standing in an offside position right in front of VDS.

Also interesting that the Turkish ref has an interesting record when it comes to sending off English based players in European and International games!
True but it's horses for courses, you robbed 3 points off of us last season and 3 points off of us this season from crap refereeing
Yeh he sent off JT and Balotelli last season
Lol I think honestly we've not really had a decent United vs Chelsea reffed fairly either way for many a year. Atkinson certainly did us no favours on several occasions against you. I highlighted the SB incidents as it ultimately cost United the title so was costly. We probably got favourable decisions to help us win other games that season, I don't doubt it.
I think we'd all just like some consistency. Of course we accept mistakes, referees are human. But the interpretations of rules are all over the place.
Apply the rules like the ref did last night on Nani and not one game would probably finish 11 a side!
He also sent off Gerrard for England, Cahill in the World Club championships and Andrews for Ireland against Italy.

Nani was in the air before he even saw Arbeloa! How could have then avoided that? Who got to the ball first?
