Just think that with 99% of the pundits/referees/professionals/managers saying it was never a red and only Keano saying that it was how many column inches has he generated. When you say 'it was a red'... it's debatable whether the decision was correct.

I think you need to understand that point.

It's hardly a shock that the assessor at the game hasn't criticised the referee.

That is now 2 people who think it was a red, and a load of rival fans, who are completely objective.

There are far, far more people who think it was a very harsh decision.

No where near the same, Nani had his eyes on the ball the whole time and was trying to control it, eboue was no where near the ball. Not even comparable tbh.

Actually.... i remember very clearly turning to a mate and saying that was ridiculous.

Think about it.

Nani's challenge used force that you'd expect from a player trying to control the ball as he was - if you think it was unintentional, anyway.

Eboue was trying to head the ball. The position of his leg seemed to be unnecessary in terms of what he was trying to achieve.

Both decisions are down to interpretation, but for me, that is a clear distinction between the two.

it was a foul and a harsh red card, i can just see why the ref gave it, he thought it was over the top
