I know what you are saying but surely to god you should have more than 2 slips to 2 new batsmen when the ball is moving about?
Turn the screw...

Need to get McCullum out quickly.
Monty really needs to vary his pace
Let them off the hook because we didnt put pressure on them in the field when they came in...
Same old stuff...
Ahhhh Trott drops a straightforward chance at slip.
Feel sorry for Jimmy. This is still a batsmen's pitch and you need to chance every chance you get.
Never seen Trott celebrate a slip catch with such enthusiasm/aggression. Must have realised how big his drop could have been.
Do you make them follow on? If rain wasn't forecast i would bat again, give the bowlers a rest, set them 450+ to win, however with rain forecast............... Send them back in.
I`d bat.
Big lead and aggressive field settings please (more than 2 slips)
I'd make them follow on.
With the dodgy forecast and relatively flat pitch it could be a big risk batting. Hard to judge how long to bat for.
In any case NZ could still avoid the follow on. Need 27 more with 2 wickets remaining. Broad has bowled very well.
But then again, Finn and Panesar haven't looked that threatening. Maybe giving the bowlers a rest and bowling on day 5 could give the best chance of bowling NZ out again.
Think broad has answered his many critics on here, form is temporary class is permanent
Monsoon conditions in Melbourne, is that heading for N Z Shores?

It's basically the same weather system, so yes rain is on it's way and will hit Wellington But considering there's a drought in NZ, any rain is very much welcome atm
Not before an English win it isn't.
Big day coming up, hoping that with a nights rest England's bowlers are ready to win us this one. Looked to me that as the day wore on Monty was getting some delivery's to really turn so he could play a big part today. I expect New Zealand to make it tough but think we have a good chance to go 1-0 up.

How dare the barmy army do anything but sit there quietly and politely applaud a boundary or wicket. Disgraceful behaviour.
Just as we get a good partnership going, the rain hits
