I am so glad to be part of the Celtic family and never had a problem when I used to go to Celtic games.
Not trying to point score but does this also include the Celtic fans treatment of Mark Walters. Something which was far worse in my eyes
But yes, I agree with you.
Totally agree Craig-Charles Green is a racist.
A good point well made Rued. As Ginger says, there are idiots attached to every club. This is not a license to point score. However, I commend the OP in his post

Totally agree Craig-Charles Green is a racist
So therefore a substantial amount of Celtic fans MUST be racist
It was a daft comment along with many other utterings of the man!
Rued , that was a long time ago that happened .....society has moved on since then and i think the club has also
Well maybe in time this wont be seen as a racist comment ?

Ginger, look at the first few comments of some of the bears on the threads yesterday and you will see what I mean. A whole bunch of the usual defense like, "pc gone mad", "reverse racism" and the like.
Rued, you are 100% right the treatment of Walters was a disgrace. I was just meaning whenever I went to games I never had a problem.
1989 really CT
So therefore your implication is that it was acceptable back then?

And when I go to games Ive never had a problem and neither have any friends who originate in Asia.
We are all just Glasgow boys together.
Mr Green was wrong to say what he did
And he is wrong IMO to address his friend in such a way.
So therefore your implication is that it was acceptable back then?
Easter condeming the actions of Celtic fans by stating it was racist is exactly that..unacceptable-does being an obnoxious moron come naturally?

Craig - do we know where Imran hails from? If he was referred to as his Pakistani friend would this be agreeable or racist? Is you are referred to as "my Scots" friend as opposed to "my Scottish friend" or if you were referred to as Jock would you term this racist?
Personally I could not care whether I was referred to as Scots/Scottish or Jock unless I knew the context was in some way intended derogatory or offensive!
Craig I some what agree with you regarding the reaction from some on here. Loyalty to your club and its associates is one thing but some of the defence of Charles Green was simply daft.
I know Curly Typical fecking weegies though
What happened to Mark Walters was racist and totally abhorrent, and also a long time ago.Celtic has moved on from then.
---------------
celtic fan's racially abused Maurice Edu and Kyle Bartley and El-Hadji Diouf...
but this has nothing to do with celtic fans or rangers fans, it says nothing about either as a group , mearely about a motormouth who needs to ingage his brain before putting his mouth into gear and start remembering he's here to do a job not perform an act.
shame on you for attempting to turn it into something more.

Not really. I have to practise quite a lot
Curly- there was already existing legislation to deal with such crimes. Salmond's knee-jerk legislation has created a culture within the Police that they need to get numbers and it has exacerbated a problem that was actually getting smaller.
I recall mocking of players like Claudio Reyna and wee Nacho had a tough time of it also!
So it is well within your right then to call us "sheep worriers" then is it? A blatant generalisation which all racism takes and adopts as it's stance.
So me calling you a "soap dodging minky weegie" would be fine as well would it?
