don. maf has been getting put away as usual on the west ham board. he is so pathetic
Chronic - if indeed we go the way you think who do you think our new LB, Striker and 'Mouthinho' type will be?
Maybe Shaw from Southampton? Baines will surely be out of the price range. However Moyes has stated he wants more youth in the team so could we give them Livermore or cheekily offer tem Bentley.
And what striker would you suggest?
judge.
shaw from southampton i think chelsea are all over him, and i think i heard he is a chelsea fan,. and would probably want to go there.
i dunno how much baines would be, but if we come outside top4 that would never happen..
my bet is it would be someone from overseas. not sure who is kicking about in the portuguese league that avb would know.
new striker i really do not know - this is the problem.. its easy to say a striker, but i am not sure who.. it depends on where we finish i guess...
damiao saga is just annoying me now i couldnt take another summer of that.
as for the moutinho type... maybe moutinho?

I am sick to death of the Damiao talk - is he even that good? 20 million would be one hell of a risk. The difference between finishing 4th or 5th is going to have a big say in which striker we could possibly get.
I'm not climbing on the Benteke wagon either-not sure we should go there.
I walked into the Moutinho one. How we miss Modric -he treated us like sh ite but he is a superb player.

------------
I wanted monreal but arsenal nabbed him, always looked good when he was at osasuna then Malaga.... Shaw loves Chelsea and sooner or later Chelsea will exploit that and take him once they're done with cole.
Holtby will be the 'moutinho' I reckon, that's his preferred role.
Striker? I've been shot down for this before but I'll say it again anyway - lewandowski. We have to aim high! 1 year left on his deal and no real intent to sign a new one. Bayern want him but Dortmund understandably don't want to strengthen them. United allegedly want him too but where will he fit in with RVP, Rooney, Hernandez and kagawa? Also his wages aren't massive (approx £3m a year I've heard) so even a 50% increase could maybe be affordable for us with a.... £20m bid?
I dont rate Lewandowski too highly Lion-el theres something about him which is a bit too clumsy. Think the likes of Jovetic are better for the same price
I wasn't aware of the Shaw/Chelsea love in. I presumed Bertrand would take that role.
Would love Lewandowski but can we honestly see it happening.
jovetic is a great shout. he would be expensive though.
that is one for me where if we get CL then yes, if not, we would probably be looking at someone a bit cheaper - possibly a benteke if villa went down, or a remy.
i wouldnt mind remy but imo we should be after a better calibre of player as a starter. remy would be a good versatile man for the squad.
Whatever happened to Llorente? Everyone (including myself) was raving about him saying we should sign him. Scored 1 goal this season!
Its like Rossi, I would have loved him at one point but he really faded away.
Lewandowski is one of europe's very top strikers, we have next to no chance. And why would he want to leave dortmund for us? Stick to someone like aubameyang who is young, fast and a good finisher, pretty decent in the air too. Also, there's no way we would pay out for coentrao, that money is better spent elsewhere. I agree holtby could play the 'modric' role, but we need someone better than him for now imo
Llorente has been frozen out I believe, going to juve in the summer. Don't rate him anyway tbh
19 games though, had a quality touch for a big man and some great finishing. Carried his team at times in past seasons.

Shaw has twice admitted on twitter he's a Chelsea fan and the media have jumped all over it. Chelsea will need a LB and to keep up their English quota so looks a nailed-on transfer within 2 years.
As for lewandowski/jovetic, I've heard jovetic is very good (don't have espn so haven't seen him) but I can't imagine levy getting into a bidding war if rumours of arsenal, man city and juve interest is true. Lewandowski might be the easier for levy to get
One thing to mention is that Bayern currently have 3 top quality signing and it is likely that they will sign Suarez. Surely there is the potential to sign one of their players!
Lewandowski is one of europe's very top strikers, we have next to no chance. And why would he want to leave dortmund for us?
----------------
Depends on who's after him and how regular he wants to play. At man united I wouldn't assume he'd be first choice, Dortmund might refuse to sell to bayern. PSG? Possibly. Unless either benzema, higuain or cavani leave their clubs where is there for him to go?
Mandzukic won't leave, Gomez is overrated and overpriced probably, and Pizarro is too old now
Gomez definitely isnt overrated, he gets constantly criticised and slated for being a bad striker yet has a goal to game ratio that can match the best. You are probably right about Pizarro.
Im still surprised Cavani is at Napoli tbh, wonder who he will go to.
Not sure if it's true but I heard strong rumours of Lewandowski going to Munich. Juve need better strikers, you can't rule out United/City/Chelsea, PSG is an option as you said, if Falcao leaves Athletico they'll need a replacement, same with Napoli and Cavani. AC/Inter might decide to splash too.
Lewandowski is top class. The only part of his game that is lacking really is his finishing, which is a weakness as a striker but he brings so much more.
Aubameyang and Remy would both be improvements on what you have right now.
Forget his goal ratio, watch Gomez play, he contributes nothing. It's not hard to poach goals with players like Ribery, Robben, Kroos, Muller, etc... around you. No surprise to me that Munich haven't won the league when he's been their striker, whereas Mandzukic comes in, one of the hardest working forwards around, and they walk it
May be a bit sloppy and careless but as good a poacher as you will see. Misses a lot of changes but scores some beauts
